Holy Hawtness

After listening to The Secrets We Hide I knew this was going to be an instant buy for me and I was not disappointed! Berlin Wick does such a good job building a world of such relatable characters.

Hudson is the perfect example of what most of us want. (Why can’t he be real?) A golden retriever, yes, but a warm, fuzzy, FERAL golden retriever. I always enjoy listening to Grayson Owens who puts the perfect amount of masculinity, dominance, and affection into every line he reads. He’s an auto-buy narrator for me.

Ember is exactly how I’d imagined her, sweet, innocent, and vulnerable but gaining strength and confidence as she goes and Branden Davis-Butler hit another one out of the park. She makes me laugh, cry, and feel things I don’t think I’m allowed to say on here. She is also an auto-buy narrator for me and it’s not hard to see why.

Did I mention chapters 36, 39, 47, 52, 53, or the epilogue yet? No? Believe me, you’ll know what I mean as soon as you hear them.

And the BLOOPERS! Whoever came up with the idea of including these at the end deserves an award because it’s the best way to end an audiobook. These were so much fun to listen to. In the words of Ember, I NEED MORE!

Can’t wait to hear the audio for book 3!

a cute, sweet MF story

this was definitely a sweet story. these two were so cute. I was irritated with Ember throughout the book though with the whole "fake husband" thing. like, no he isnt. gah. I was really hoping there wouldn't be a 3rd act breakup but there was a short one. the coincidences in this book were a bit much. maybe it was just, meant to be, but it was a lot. I do recommend this book though. this is a feel good story. very hot too. these narrators though! so good. I, admittedly, because of the name of the female narrator did think this was a MM romance. so I was hesitant since I haven't read many of those. it is not. it is a MF romance.
