Great Story, OK Voice Actor

A new voice actor for a new Cristopher G Nuttall Series. She's a pro but she's not a five-star pro, yet. Her focus on constantly changing her pacing and tone results in a sing-songing effect I do not love. I look forward to her improving on this and to hearing her on many future books. (As good as she is, Saskia Maarleveld cannot do them all.)

Fear not dear listener, she is still good and this new series is extremely well written and well thought out. I look forward to finding out what's next. I love the storyline of a royal forced into real life. I also like the way Nuttall develops the character. She matures as she works her way back to her home. Honestly I think this one storyline would make a great series. If anything holds back this book it is that Nuttall himself needs to get out of his comfort zone and experience new in different people to bring more variety to his characters.

Still: Great book! Five stars.

Good story but with audiobook glitches.

Enjoyed the story but there was editing issues and at times the sound balance kept shifting.
