Manga fans will love this ear candy of an audiobook. it totally brings to life the world of the series with a bit more explanation and fleshing out of the world. a total must-read especially if you love isekai, gays and well-fleshed out fantasy worlds! 😍

Like listening to the Manga

What would a salary man do if dragged into another world? The same thing he always does, overwork himself. There’s lots of fun characters in this book and I look forward to reading the rest of the volumes in the series.

Fun Isakai BL

I've never related less to an MC than this MC (only a slight exaggeration). His actions don't really make sense. His zealous attitude towards work that he ostensibly hated in the original world is weird because it lacks a foundation.
**Lots of rambling with some spoilerish content below**
I want to excuse his attitude by him having a "trauma" response to being snatched into another world, but we aren't really given any indication that his behavior is driven by anything other than his NEED to work. This is especially weird because MC immediately regrets asking to work, but then, he goes overboard anyway.
We are also led to believe that the MC dislikes inconveniencing people, but he doesn't seem to care that he's taking advantage of Aresh. MC is constantly putting his life on the line and acts irresponsibly and just seems to expect for Aresh to drag him away from the edge. What is worse? he starts to notice Aresh's less than platonic feelings towards himself and he takes advantage and just wants to ignore it so he can continue working.
Aresh cornering MC into a "relationship" feels icky until you think about it and see how MC has been blatantly abusing Aresh's power, influence and feelings so he can act freely in the new world... even though Aresh is literally the only reason MC is still alive.
I'm just not a fan of MC. I am sorta worried where this plot is gonna go.

The protagonist is kind of a selfish scumbag...

I love that the MC is 30 years old and always has dark circles under his eyes. Because same. The novel goes into more detail than the anime or manga in fun ways. I enjoyed it.

Love It!

I truly enjoyed the story and how it approached not only the BL elements but also isekai elements. So many works stray into the outlandish, which is fun, but it’s also so refreshing to have a truly normal main character. The romance has layers and there is a clear path of growth for not only the main characters, but those around them.

So good, definitely worth the listen.
