The Note

Eventually she plucks up the courage to give the stranger a note asking him out for a drink. And so begins a story of missed opportunities and finding happiness where you least expect it.

A sweet book, for readers aged 20s and 60s alike!

This is a clever, light read. In the chick lit genre, but well written (in a 2017 sort of way). Well narrated. Worth a go.

Rom-Com with some Dram

If Bridget Jones, Love Actually, and The Devil Wears Prada were put in a blender. Drama, love, laughs, and loss. It checks all the boxes for a good ol' fashioned romance but with British realism. I'm practically chewing at the bit, ready for the sequel on my TBR.

Excellent narrator...

I got to chapter 8. It just didn't grab my attention. The narrator is excellent though, hopeful that will give others a chance to fall in love with this book.
