Publisher's Summary

From neighbors to friends to lovers? All the makings of a risky second-chance romance by USA Today and Wall Street Journal bestselling author Tracy Brogan.

Since Carli Lancaster's divorce, she's worked hard to keep life as normal as possible for her daughters. When she lands a job as cohost of a local morning show, it looks like a fresh start. So does the arrival of a handsome new neighbor, who has more in common with Carli than just a property line.

Ben Chase is also new to single parenthood. And like Carli, he's focused on the future.

From navigating neighborhood gossip to decorating for holidays to reaching out in times of trouble, they quickly learn to rely on each other. Just like a couple but without the complications of coupling! Sure, there's attraction. They're only human. But they're also friends, and who wants to ruin a perfect relationship with romance?

They're both thinking about adding some perks, though, and even if their new normal isn't perfect, it's definitely somewhere in the neighborhood.

Fun novel great narration

I love Amy McFadden’s voice and would listen to her read the dictionary! Lol. That said, I enjoy Tracy Brogan novels also. This one was light and funny. Just the right amount of romance and real life.

Potential to be so Much More.

This story had the potential to be so good! Positive that the main characters were in their 40's instead of the usual 20 or 30 crowd. There was too much whining though!!!! Too many unnecessary details we the listener did not need to know. I skipped a lot of those segments. It just went on and on! I think the main idea of the story is there- moving on after divorce, making sure your kids are ok. All of the other stuff was just mush. Like the homeowners association events and all the crap that went along with it- really unnecessary! There's no way I would do anything I didn't want to even if the neighbors were! I didn't use a credit on this and probably would've exchanged if I had. Good thing for Kindle Unlimited.

Really more women's fic than romance

Not really a romance. The hero goes off sleeping with other people because he's trying to resist the heroine. The kids are fun and I loved the dog.

The New Normal

So much fun. I have really developed a love for this author. This one takes on two newly divorced parents learning how to survive and coming together with a lot of whit and sass and at times some snark thrown in. Kudos for a great listen!

AWESOME!!

I dearly love Tracy's books and this one is no different. She has a way of making us laugh at everyday problems old and new. Her characters are people we all know and deal with everyday which makes it even more relatable.
I highly recommend you sit back and listen to this book because it great and Amy McFadden's voice is perfect!!!

Welcome to the neighborhood!

Talk about meet-cute!! Divorced, single mom, Carli, has a new neighbor...almost divorced, single dad, Ben. Their first meeting is epic!! Gus the gigantic dog steals Ben’s steak and demolishes his grill! Welcome to the Glenville neighborhood! This is a fun story with just a teensy bit of angst. Amy McFadden is the right fit for this story and does an excellent job with the characters. Recommend this read/listen.

I adored this book!

This is a favorite author for me, but this book was special. The characters were so real and relatable. The scene in the bedroom with her daughters was hysterical!

Set the table for 95% of the book.

I listened to Highland Surrender by Tracy Brogan and loved it. So I decided to try another one of her books. I was so disappointed. This book dragged on. Worse audio book I ever downloaded.
