Memories fade. But some never let go. And some demand justice.
Jack Widow, a drifter with a violent past, doesn't look for trouble. But trouble finds him on a desolate Nebraska road at midnight when an elderly man in pajamas appears in the darkness—barefoot, confused, and firing a shotgun at ghosts only he can see.
Widow takes him home to his family, thinking that's the end of it. It's not.
The old man has dementia, and every night at midnight, the same memory drags him back sixty years—to darkness, to violence, to something that won't let him rest. Widow starts asking questions. The answers lead to a crime family that buried their secrets in the 1960s and will kill to keep them there.
Now someone knows Widow's digging into the past. The family he's trying to help becomes a target. An old man who can't remember and killers who refuse to forget put Widow on a collision course with a truth that could cost him everything.
The clock's ticking. Midnight's coming again. And this time, the past won't just demand justice—it'll demand blood.
For fans of Lee Child’s Jack Reacher, David Baldacci’s John Puller, and Gregg Hurwitz’s Orphan X, The Midnight Memory delivers a pulse-pounding mix of mystery, danger, and justice served cold.
Download now and follow Widow into a mystery where the past refuses to stay buried.

What elevates this incredible story to a whole new level is the narrator, Alan Phillip Ormond (APO). The narration is pure perfection. They bring an undeniable grit and emotional depth to Jack Widow, breathing life into every single scene and making the complex web of characters feel completely real. It is a masterclass in audiobook performance.
To Scott Blade: please keep these Jack Widow stories coming! This series is unmatched, and I cannot wait to see where Widow wanders next. Highly recommended!

This book is a story in itself which doesn’t need a prequel. As with all the Widow books he’s traveling around the country and stops in an unknown town along the way. Widow is almost shot by a man in his 80s who is out after midnight with a shotgun. He has dementia and is in the middle of a delusion about his life 60 years in the past. There’s an incident where the police end up looking into his rants which alerts a crime family he had wronged. After that a complete cluster f@@k ensues. Thank goodness Widow is there to protect the family, the older man and save a few more lives and straighten out a few others… my hero. I say this jokingly but wouldn’t it be nice if there really were people like this around?
Alan Philip Ormond does a phenomenal job narrating. He really is one of the absolute best (in my opinion)!!
This book has my Very HIGHEST RECOMMENDATION!!
