Great twist

Didn’t see that coming… another great read with lots of twists and turns. Never got bored with the story as I tend to do.

Good story that easily transfers from the first but yet is still its own story.

Story line with great twists & plots

Excellently acted & told, this story is filled with the drama and grief of human emotions… and characters with dimensions to be discovered along the way. As in life, nothing is ever easily understood when it includes abuse, class hierarchies, Love & envy & fear.

A nicely written and performed twisty mystery.

I love the main character and I especially love that she is in her 60’s. So refreshing and different. The mystery was presented with little clues along the way and the characters came alive. It kept me guessing the entire time.

Another masterful novel from Annie Taylor.

I loved this story. It was gripping from almost the beginning. I found the narrator’s performance to be adequate, however. A couple of the recurring characters are Scottish and the narrator’s Scottish accent was abysmal. I’d rather, if a person cannot do an accent, that they do not try, rather than butchering it. Or better yet, find a narrator who can do the accents of the characters, though I understand this might not be appropriate due to series continuity. Still and all, I loved the story. Will definitely be reading book 3.
