Megan Suri (Never Have I Ever), stars in this sports-romance sequel to As Luck Would Have It, by Sonya Lalli.

Soraya Das is done with men. In the aftermath of her divorce from her cheating ex-husband, Kumar, she kicks him out of the house, and is now in the anger stage of grief. After trying to cope through workouts, throwing herself into work or spending time with her best friend Ash and her boyfriend Devin, Soraya becomes involved in an online community of Loyalty Testers–women who flirt with men in relationships, at the request of their partners, to test their loyalty.

After weeks of being a tester, Soraya is hired to loyalty test a woman named Kiana's boyfriend, Tag Peters, a professional football player and the newest quarterback of the Vancouver Sharks. To her surprise, Tag passes the test, even though the chemistry sizzles between them. Eventually, Tag and Kiana break up amicably, and he pursues a relationship with Soraya. The two click instantly, but she's wary of trusting him, especially after everything that’s happened with Kumar. Soraya must decide if she can trust Tag, and herself, or if there’s too many flags on this play.

I loved the first book of this series and even though I thought book 2 would be good, it was way better than I thought it would be. I may even like this better than the first book! Nothing against Ash and Devon but, Soraya and Tag are so special

Way better than anticipated!

I liked the narration. I liked the life lessons that were in the book. I liked how the author wanted to emphasize how important it is to love yourself. Well written. I enjoyed this book.

it was hard to listen to this extreme insecure person invade another persons privacy. As they say ,," hurt people, hurt people". We have to deal with our own issues before having someone else in our lives and messing them up. I found myself just getting angry at the lead character. I can't listen to too much of this.

This is a test of our own insecurities disguised as you loyalty test.

Codependent besties, busybodies and immature characters galore. I must have 15 words, here they are.

Mediocre

The author deserves credit for creating a female main character who is both unlikely and unforgettable. Much of the story revolves around her unresolved relationship trauma, and while that does provide momentum, it also walks a fine line. At times the character feels practical and relatable; at others, she comes across as overly self-involved, which made it difficult to fully invest in her journey.

The novel touches on very real, plausible life problems, but the exploration often remains at the surface. The only sustained depth comes through the FMC’s multiple internal conflicts, which are well portrayed but repetitive over time. The narrator does a strong job of keeping the story moving forward, which ultimately kept me reading through to the end.

That said, I closed the book with more relief than satisfaction. While the writing had moments of promise, I’m not sure I’ll be seeking out more from this author.

The FMC will stress you out

I got a kick out of the "indian aunties" banter. Megan Suri's portrayal of Soraya was compelling. The male voices, though, ugh. Devon's friendly relationship with Soraya is goalsss. Their interactions together and with Ash made me giddy every time. I almost lost faith on Tag, and it felt like it all went down too fast in the end.

Almost didn't listen to it but ended up liking it better than book 1
