Historical context extremely fascinating, narration FANTASTIC

I absolutely loved this historical fiction novel. It was incredibly well written, the protagonists were quite endearing, and the historical period was captured so well. At the end the notes described the extensive research that was done to support the plot & historical & geographical setting of the book, and it shows. I can't wait to listen to the next.

So enjoyable

Amazing narration. Made the story come alive. I felt immersed in this foreign land, side by side with Sub and Sheraz. Great story, expertly narrated.

Builds to a good climax

It took a minute to get into the characters and to accept the premise of the story. I’m really not interested in reading a Jack the Ripper spinoff, but the author quickly put my fears to rest that the Chief Inspector is not buying into that theory. I liked all the main characters and felt the ending justified the investment of time.

Who done it?!

This is a great “who done it” murder mystery detective story. If that’s your cup of tea then this is a book for you.

Too short!

I loved the story; I hated that it had to end. I wanted more of the story and the characters.
