John's breath hitches in his throat. He clutches a crumpled page filled with cryptic symbols, his eyes darting around the grand gallery. The Mona Lisa seems to mock him with her knowing smile. "Who are you?" he demands, his voice a strained whisper that barely carries over the echoing footsteps of tourists.
The voice chuckles again, a chilling sound that sends shivers down his spine. "We are the Illuminés, Professor. And this, my friend, is your final exam."
