Amazing Series.

Wonderful Storey-line. I really do hope the authors family can find someone worthy to write a few books to finish it out. Well worth your time to read or listen to this series. Not the average story. Author was brilliant and insightful.

Disappointed this story is unfinished.

This is a great historical fiction/sci-fi series. It’s characters are relatable and you find yourself rooting for them as they face incredible odds. After spending several weeks listening to the series, I finally completed it today (6-1-22). Hoping there was another book not yet released or available on audible, a quick google search revealed that, sadly, Robert Storey died in 2019. At this point it seems his final two books may never be completed, and a wonderful story will be left unfinished.

Strong Continuation

Great continuation to the story! The story lines were progressed and added onto in a page turning style that made me want to continue listening at every moment. Not a single boring chapter! I really hope there is another book!!!

it's all fun and games until...

after laying a solid foundation of hard sci-fi with excellent world building and very high stakes previous entries, this series devolves into a maras of Judeo-Christian mysticism, implausible closer calls, and characters that just won't stay dead. Any high stakes are worthless if people just comeback or survive impossible situations so that the only way to justify their continuing story, is through metaphysics that negate all the relatively strong scientific and historical references showed in the previous books. All tension is rendered pointless by the amateurish over use of deus ex machina escapes in a story that is also hitting you over the head with an actual god machine as part of the plot.

Wished There Was More...

I finished the marathon task of listening to all six books in the series and was fascinated with the premise, the character development and writing style.
Having enjoyed the series as described above, I was saddened when I learned of the author's death and felt that must have contributed to the hasty ending. So many questions to have been answered.
Gildart Jackson is a superb narrator.

totally enjoyed

I totally enjoyed the book, loved the narrating and I am really looking forward to books 7-9 because we are left with one hell of a cliffhanger in book 6

Omg get to the point

Besides for the fact the author used British slang for American characters i found it humorous. But the droning on and on and on and on and on and on you get it he was very wordy over explaining every detail I couldn’t wait to get the final book over with. Even the epilogue part 1-2-3-4 we get it stop filling the void with meaningless dribble
