Really good Book

This one is like watching a movie. Plenty of action with characters you actually are concerned with!

Awesome listen

Help my attention all the way through and left me one more. It was very unpredictable and I loved that in the book. I want to go ahead and preorder 2nd one I hope the author keeps up the suspensful writing.

Sci Fi Horror ...

A bit difficult for me to "get into"; but once I did, the story really picked up.
I love the caracters and the story it self

It's a bit "scary" and I had to stop listening when it was "dark".
Couldn't sleep when my heart was "skipping"... lol...

And then at the end, the story took one "extra scary turn" !!

This is no an ET story !!
(No misunderstood Aliens here ... !!! )

I would put this story as a "sci fi horror book".

Ray Porter Excels In From Beyond

Two of the better Sci-Fi writers together - again. I knew this would be a good story. I was not disappointed. From beginning to end, the reader is pulled into the possibility of an Earth threatening event from an alien - maybe derelict spacecraft. There is also an interesting investigation going on in obscure places on Earth. As you follow the characters through each chapter, the tension, the mystery and the threat increases. You do not want to miss this new series. If you enjoy audible performances, you will not be disappointed with the companion Audible book featuring the talented Ray Porter.

Great beginning..

I finished this last night and it was pretty good. I liked that it kept moving from David to Atlas to Lennon just so you could see what was going on where. The spiders were a little creepy for me though. You all know how most women HATE spiders. And then to find out they made it to earth? Jeez, who wants alien spiders landing on earth?

There was no swearing, which I found totally ridiculous. If you're being chased by deadly spiders YOU ARE GOING TO SWEAR, I don't care who you are.

As for the narration: The BEST ever, Ray Porter.

Takes long to start but once it does it doesn’t slow down

Good story so far, nothing I haven’t read before but an intriguing mystery plot kept me wrapped in. The characters were a little difficult to latch on to at first but they grow on you as the story goes on. I’m interested to find out how it ends so I’ll move on to the next book.

Good solid horror scifi book

Being a fan of both writer and narrator I really enjoyed the book looking forward to the next one

Good enough to continue

I would equate it to a B+; entertaining enough, action sequences were easy to follow, any violence moved the story forward without being gratuitous, and there were a couple good twists. I could have used more complexity with the science, but it was pretty good overall. Maybe the first book is just laying the foundation to more complexity later on? Ray Porter is a rockstar narrator, as always.

Great performance of a poor story

The book started out well with a lot of intrigue but it fails for me on many points:

The science is all over the map and doesn’t seem well thought out

Many of the characters are way too stereotypical and bad cliches like a video game into

Several characters defy themselves with no second thought like earlier actions didn’t happen. I found them unbelievable.

No answers at all are to be learned about any of the characters or the enemies.

Even Ray Porter couldn’t save this book for me and that’s saying a lot.
