He begins with a discussion of botanical dimensions of folk medicine which are lost in pharmacology and how this is being uncovered by the New Age archaic revival. McKenna envisions an end to the current age, which has consisted of eons of boredom. He goes on to discuss the growing wonder of the universe as presented by leading astronomers Stephen Hawking and Carl Sagan. Our individual preparation must start with the reexploration of the visionary insights from nonwestern people who use psychedelics within a transformational context.

A long gap of silence

There is a glitch or a mistake. If it’s not a glitch with the app somebody should be ashamed that they let this get posted. The talk ends and then there is approximately 15 mins of silence and then the talk starts over again briefly before ending abruptly.

Terence was great but the gap in the audio is pretty ridiculous.

Someone should have listened to this before putting it up on Audible. The intro plays again at the end after the huge gap of silence.
