Surprisingly Relevant and Convicting for Today

A very good exposition on the life of Elijah. I’ve read and heard many things about this Old Testament prophet and this author did an excellent job connecting us today to Elijah and his faith of centuries ago.
I did not agree with everything A.W. Pink believed, but was challenged and convicted by what he taught and how relevant it is still today.

Insightful even for today

I quit watching TV to get through this book. It was insightful from both a Christian and a Jewish perspective. I read the story, but didn't see it through the eyes of a biblical scholar of the 1950's. The original publication in 1956 makes it my age. He accurately predicted what would happen to our American culture before it happened. I now know how to move forward after reading this book. Thanks to the publishers for such a well produced audio book.

I’ve never written a review for a book ; especially one I can’t wait to listen to again!
I was drawn to know more about Elijah for as many reasons as this book details. The struggle of dealing with feelings of letting God down to the point of wanting to end his life. How God provided, corrected , rescued and enabled a man ( flesh & blood ) to do what seemed impossible; by his Faith in God; not himself!
I had to listen to some of the chapters several times in a row because , it brought me to my knees!
Thank you for deepening my awareness of the presence of the Living God in each season of my life.

Timely for today! Powerful teaching with great insights about Elijah’s life and his journey with the Lord. Powerful how this story speaks into our own life and teaches us how to draw near to our Lord and the consequences when we don’t. It is also about Gods Amazing Grace and how how the Lord walks through everything with us. Powerful book!
