Spectacular

I was dumped into a vat of gore, Eldritch gods, and the purest whimsey. The voice actor... girl literally looking up any other boom she's done because the voice of the librarian?! are you fucking with me that was transcendent. No notes.

linguistic greatness

i've always enjoyed this author and this book serves her quite well. she does fascinating things with language; who else uses 'bathyal' as a directional term!?

Wow...

This is a great piece of Lovecraftian horror. Strange creatures from outside our reality. A sense of hopelessness and dread. A battle against something that can't be defeated by mortal means. Overall one great horror book.

Dark, Gorey, and Beautiful, everything I've come to expect from Kaw

loved everything about this, the story and narrator were perfect. If you have a hard time with gore and body horror, you might want to give this a pass, but if that doesn't bother you definitely give this awesome school horror a chance.
