'Shakira Shute’s narration of a time-traveling ready-for-love witch should be listened to—if only for the internal dialogue between the witch, Thorn Scarhart, and her cat familiar, Bandit. When Thorn’s potion brings her into the 21st century, listeners will delight in the slow reveal of her true motivation for doing so. Shute uses a low, sepulchral voice for Bandit, who alternates between demanding the local veterinarian Walls’s soul and graciously allowing him to live if he provides more squeezy-pouch cat treats. In turn, Walls’s calm acceptance of Thorn is both grounding and romantic. Shute also portrays Meg, Walls’s sister, a museum curator who witnesses Thorn’s arrival. For a slightly offbeat yet enchanting listen, Shute’s narration is the cat’s meow."

Fluffy and Amusing

A nice fluffy read, fairly predictable but with a couple fun surprises! Im not usually one for romances, but this came highly recommended and overall I enjoyed it

It could have been so good but I struggled getting through even at 2x speed.

Easy listen, some funny parts but the story was kinda of dragging in parts and didn’t really go anywhere far after the main plot line developed.

Cute and quirky

Cute and quirky story, perfect for Halloween time , or light summer read. The performance was excellent, even though the story is predictable, yoj can’t wait to get to solve the mysteries. The characters are heartwarming, especially the cats .
