Remain vigilant!

This is a great story about a soldier and one of the last true vigilants. One part fantasy, one part mystery and some horror. It is a really interesting book.
I didn’t like one particular pov character but the story is still great.

It was a great high fantasy mystery.

The author had me guessing and second guessing on the mystery but rooting for the main characters. It is the first blended genre of this type I have enjoyed.

Not What I Expected but In a Good Way

This book pleasantly surprised me and reminded me a lot of The Tainted Cup by Robert Jackson Bennett. If you like fantasy mixed with a mystery, who dunnit story, this is an excellent choice. I’m looking forward to the continuation of the story.

The characters were pretty weak in this story

Too many side characters that only had relevance at the end. And two main protagonist, who just argued to supposedly had the plot whenever everyone everyone knew who the since chapter 2 of the book
