Great mystery

I’m so happy to have found this intelligent, atmospheric mystery with a great story line and so many rich characters. It’s an engrossing and entertaining read that is thought provoking without being depressing or overly violent or bloody.

Too long

The story was a good one but too long and drawn out. It made it a bit more difficult to follow.

Excellent narration!

It took me a little while to get into this story - there are a lot of characters and it’s a bit hard to keep track of who is who. But the narrator did such a great job of bringing them life that I hung in there, and I’m glad I did! Worth a listen!

I loved everything about this!

It was such an enjoyable read, from the compelling characters to the clever plot to the well-constructed atmosphere to the Welsh and Liverpudlian accents of the narrator. I can’t wait for book 2 of the series.

OKAY STORY

Everyone was a Red Herring so kept you guessing. The narrator was difficult to understand when portraying certain characters.

Great narration!

It was a solid detective case, but the narration made it shine. Now I want to go to Wales.

Too long -Too Intense

Lots of drama, lots of different peoples’ personal stories interwoven into a strip of land on the Shore of a Welch lake divided between Wales and England, divided between the locals and the wealthy in comers.
Well written, just went on too long for me, and a few too many uses of the F-word I could have done without. But all in all, a good book, well read.

Hard to follow. I think it was the accent. Didn’t love it. It was just okay.
