One of Hemingway's Nick Adams stories, two hitmen from Chicago arrive at a diner to await the arrival of Ole Anderson, a former boxer who "messed up" in Chicago. Dressed like twins complete with sawed-off shotguns under their overcoats, they plan to execute Anderson when he comes into the diner for dinner.

Narration was fine.
Story implies alot when it comes to the Swede, a sad and fatal character. I found the dialog between the Killers repetitive and a little boring but probably would have been unnerved by it if I were in the diner.
Not a big fan of Hemingway or Steinbeck but like to know for myself. Now I know.
