Story
Dragons have terrorized Julianna's village for generations. Nothing will stop her from succeeding in her first dragon hunt. Until she meets one, that is. His isn't what she was told to expect. Big, angry beast? No. Normal looking man? Um...yeah. Ash is just as surprised by his first "dragon slayer". She's not big and tough. Sure, she's got a fire diamond sword - which she's very proud of - and some really uncomfortable looking armor, but her heart is bigger than she's willing to admit.

Story
Twelve-year-old Sophie has never quite fit into her life. She’s skipped multiple grades and doesn’t really connect with the older kids at school, but she’s not comfortable with her family, either. The reason? Sophie’s a Telepath, someone who can read minds. No one knows her secret - at least, that’s what she thinks.... But the day Sophie meets Fitz, a mysterious (and adorable) boy, she learns she’s not alone. He’s a Telepath too, and it turns out the reason she has never felt at home is that, well...she isn’t. Fitz opens Sophie’s eyes to a shocking truth....

"The Beast", as he calls it, is the one place where he can escape other kids, who make fun of him because he has a limp and walks with a cane. After a plane crashes into The Beast, a mysterious girl named Brooks shows up at Zane's doorstep, insisting that they meet at the volcano, where she will reveal a terrible secret. Zane agrees. Brooks tells him that the volcano is actually a centuries-old prison for the Mayan god of death, whose destiny is directly tied to Zane's.

Destiny.
Cole's life spirals into an uncontrollable battle for life or death. First, he learns that his family isn't really his own, and his birth parents are dragons. With that legacy comes a special calling: devoting an eternity to protecting all true beings from creatures bent on controlling the Earth and bringing an end to dragons.
Danger.
As the newly minted Prince of Ochana, Cole is also the Keeper of Dragons, and his first task is to keep the nefarious farro-fallen fairies at bay. Decent story, Good Narrator
Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
I would recommend this book to my niece or nephew for an entry-level book into fantasy audiobooks. But I don't believe older audiences will feel that this book has substance, but the narrator keeps you engaged and entertained.
What was the most interesting aspect of this story? The least interesting?
The concept of the book is interesting, and also the least interesting. But this is coming from someone who has been listening to audio books for a while and you can really tell that this was written from a much younger audience and so the concept doesn't feel like it has any depth to it.
What does Zachary Hetrick bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
He brings life to the book, and keeps you engaged through his ability to bring the characters to life. It was hard for me to truly tell that this was his first book he ever narrated. I am looking forward to hearing more of his work.
If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?
Ages 10-14
Any additional comments?
Don't get me wrong for the age group I believe the book is good, just is not a book you would turn to if you wanted something that stretches your imagination and truly brings you into a new undiscovered world.
