nowhere near Tom Clancy

the book is nowhere near Clancy's books, had to force myself to finish it. author should stop "he/she said" all over the text which tries hard on one's patience. The main character is very predictable and too much dreaming and too weak to be a hero, story is predictable. even Scott Brick's narration cannot save the book, very boring.

This Novel Has Many Great Features

Brick captures the tone of the main character impeccably and Goodfellow creates a relatable protagonist that you willfully admire.

Much too long

I could have finished this book hours prior to the ending of the story unabridged not worth buying too many words, too many descriptions, and the story was horrific

Poorly written and delivered

In the third chapter over and over “ I said”, “Jeff Said”. I wen on over and over ……………how about the actor reading with two distinct voices. YIKES!

Humorous but needs a thesaurus for the verb "said"

I loved the humor. However, PLEASE investigate synonyms for the word "said". I frequently had to rewind to listen to what I had missed from being distracted by hearing the word SAID so frequently. Really!

Awful

Goodfellow butchers a reasonably interesting plot with idiotic dialogue that insults even those looking for mindless diversion. Three books? Really. Not worth the credits or the money. If Audible offered refunds I’d be requesting one.

Choppy distracting narration

The constant “then she said” bla bla bla. “To which he said” bla bla bla. Literally telling you who is saying what after every sentence. Very strange way to narrate and distracted/irritated me so I couldn’t enjoy the story. I would have retuned this one if Audible would let me.

Good book. a few issues

Ages and misidentification of the children. I mean, two sets of kids by two different wives... there ages were not close enough to be believable to me. also, a super soldier that is always hallucinating, well we'll see in the next book.
and every woman is the most beautiful ever. whatever.

Edged Out

So not only is this story broken into two books that I did not pick up on. That will be two credits to find out what the punch line is. On top of all that did not like the writing because it was winded and drawn out. Now that I find out it is in two books it makes sense why it was boarding. Elongated descriptions = two books. Now I need to determine if I care enough to spend another credit to be board further. Nah moving on. Author lost my follow. Scott Brick always good even in a bad book.
