Resumen del Editor

“Rambo meets Sherlock Holmes in the explosive climax to Thomas H. Goodfellow’s THE INSURMOUNTABLE EDGE trilogy.” – Rob Errera, IndieReader.com

Overview of Three Book Story

Two children savagely stoned to death in the California desert. Top employees of a U.S. defense contractor dying at an alarming rate. A cryptic message sent by a strange, secretive source warns the contractor’s products have been corrupted and could be used against the U.S. Armed Forces.

They all seem to be connected. But how?

Only two men on earth are capable of putting it all together and those men are Jack Wilder and Jeff Bradshaw, two of the greatest special operations forces soldiers who have ever lived.

There’s a problem though. Jack and Jeff are off-duty at Jack’s ranch while Jeff tries to recover from a severe case of post-traumatic stress disorder. Jack’s seventeen-year-old ward, a hellcat named Adelaide, is also on the ranch. Nothing seems more impossible than getting the three of them to leave their safe commune. But then, a mysterious blue Maybach shows up at the ranch. The Maybach’s visit sends Adelaide, Jack and Jeff off on a dangerous trail of murder and intrigue as they confront the insurmountable edge.

“Author Thomas H. Goodfellow brings the final installment of THE INSURMOUNTABLE EDGE series barreling into the station with General Jack Wilder’s offbeat crew in yet another fast, fun read for action thriller fans.” – Rob Errera, IndieReader.com

Suspenseful

Good long story that keeps you guessing and really gives the uneducated a glimpse into the real side affects of ptsd.

Insanely good, masterful, well planned out….

and all tied up with a nice little bow. Normally I would lose interest in a story this long but… it never dried out, always kept me thinking and looking around the next corner. The trio of Jack, Jeff & Adelaide hadn’t been tried in this genre quite like this before and I thought the world of it because of the well thought out characters. If you like Mitch Rapp, and all the other Enforcers out there cleaning up the globe, read this book! And by the way… Scott Brick is The Master!

Unbelievably bad. No; terrible.

Something happened between Books 2 and 3. Books 1 and 2 were excellent and then, for some unexplained reason, we had to wait for Book 3. Book 3 is awful. Even Scott Brick could not save it. Any dialogue between Jack, Jeff and the girl (I've fortunately forgotten her name) sounds like it was written by an 8th grader. Virtually every sentence ends with "he said", or "Jeff said" or "Jack said" or "I said." I would like to know what Scott Brick was thinking while narrating. I don't know if the publisher forced the writer to add more words to get to 17 hours or what; but, it is unlistenable. After investing 17 hours in Book 1 and 17 hours in Book 2, waiting for six months or so for Book 3 and listening for 7 hours in Book 3; I could not take it anymore. I called it quits and turned the book back in for a refund. What a shame. I'd like to know how it ended.

Please spare yourself!

I was a big fan of Book 1. Book 2 seemed to drag on. Book 3 is the worst audio book I’ve ever purchased. Please spare yourself from 17 hours of pain. The last 7 hours of this book are seriously nonsensical. At one point, the author takes over THREE hours to describe a series of events that were supposed to be happening over 10 minutes. It honestly felt like the author was told to fill 17 hours by any means necessary. The result is an audiobook that for the last 4 hours could be listened to at 1.6x speed, while fast forwarding 30 seconds repeatedly, all while not missing a single important plot point. If you choose to subject yourself to this, do yourself a favor and listen to the first few hours, and then the last 60 minutes (at 1.6x, of course). You will save yourself from the most frustrating listening experience of your life.
