Publisher's summary

Following in the tradition of Clive Cussler and Matthew Reilly, Andy McDermott takes us on a rollercoaster ride in search of the legendary Atlantis.

Archaeologist Nina Wilde believes she has found the location of the lost city of Atlantis, and now she wants the opportunity to prove her theory. Someone else though wants her dead!

With the help of ex-SAS bodyguard Eddie Chase and beautiful heiress Kari Frost, Nina faces a breakneck race against time around the world, pursued at every step by agents of the mysterious and murderous Brotherhood of Selasphoros. From the jungles of Brazil to the mountains of Tibet, from the streets of Manhattan to the depths of the Atlantic Ocean, the hunt for Atlantis leads to a secret hidden for 11,000 years which in the wrong hands could destroy civilization as we know it....

Great Origin Story

I thought the book started out great. continued to do well with plenty of action, but about the last 4 or 5 hours , I just couldn't stop listening. I mean, it was literally just one chase scene, after chase scene, after chase scene. When it was all done I was a little disappointed because I wanted more

Best book series I’ve ever read

I’ve read and now listened to this book twice and I love it just as much as I did the first time. You will not be disappointed.

This series is by far the best I have found when I started listening to this book I couldn't stop and so far every book has been the exact same way if they can follow the book closely this series would make excellent movies and I hope one day they will

Loved this book!

The narration on this book is perfection! I absolutely love Nina and Eddie and encourage anyone looking for an Indiana Jones style story a tiny bit of romance to jump right in!

A slow start, then very exciting

Wasn't sure I'd like this, the first few chapters was a lot of info about Atlantis that I already knew but the characters started to grow on me and the story turned out to be very exciting with several unexpected twists, especially towards the end. The actions scenes were well described, the narrator really brought it to life.

Couldn't Finish Chapter 2

I wish there were content ratings provided for audiobooks. There was so much profanity I couldn't finish the second chapter. That makes me sad, because the story was interesting. Too bad it's been spoiled with filthy talk!

irritating action and characters

Book had potential but the repetitive mistakes and desire for unnecessary action sequences ruined it. The supposedly smart characters make the same mistakes over and over. The author seemed to just try to figure out how much more ridiculous of action sequences he can do and rinses and repeats. Big shame as it could have been a great series to get into.

Couldn’t finish this one.

After spending around an hour in one long and drawn out action sequence I decided this one would be relegated to my DNC list. It starts out fine and I wanted to see how things would shake out, but there has been no character development after 3 hours and I just don’t care about train chases, grenades and automatic weapons anymore. It seems like the characters and adventure part were afterthoughts of this action/adventure book. Think horrible 80s action movie novelization. Maybe this one gets better after the marathon bullets flying and grenades exploding part, but I won’t be around to find out.
