Emmy Award-winning actress Tatiana Maslany narrates a brand-new special edition recording of the first audiobook in the worldwide best-selling trilogy from Suzanne Collins!

In the ruins of a place once known as North America lies the nation of Panem, a shining Capitol surrounded by 12 outlying districts. The Capitol keeps the districts in line by forcing them all to send one boy and one girl between the ages of 12 and 18 to participate in the annual Hunger Games, a fight to the death on live TV.

Sixteen-year-old Katniss Everdeen regards it as a death sentence when she steps forward to take her sister's place in the Games. But Katniss has been close to death before - and survival, for her, is second nature. Still, if she is to win, she will have to start making choices that weigh survival against humanity and life against love.

This special edition audiobook includes a bonus track Q&A with Tatiana Maslany!

Though it's hard to argue with Merriam-Webster, we all know that life means something more than the standard dictionary definition—or, at least, we want it to. If you're searching for insights into the meaning of life, or words of inspiration to make your life more meaningful, there's no better source than authors of great works of literature. From Shakespeare to Alice Walker, from Jane Austen to Saul Bellow, iconic authors have a lot to say about life.

FWIW, I’m team Peeta Tatiana
"Somebody give Tatiana Maslany all the awards. The youthful yet somber quality to her voice makes her a natural Katniss, breathing new life into Panem. I devoured Maslany’s new recordings this summer, but I have to admit there’s something very different about listening to The Hunger Games as a 31-year-old mom vs. listening to it as a teenager myself. I cried from the first chapter onward, but it’s just a testament to the compelling nature of Collins’s dystopian modern classic. "

The Hunger Games remains one of the better stories of the early 21st century. The problem is the narrator. Her delivery is
flat and emotionless, not just when she is relaying the thoughts of the lead character, but throughout her narration of the book.

Good Story. Depressing Narration

I honestly don’t get it... I almost didn’t buy this book because of all the hate for the narration. But there were enough positive reviews that convinced me to give it a try. I really liked Tatiana’s narration. I think she did a fantastic job. I don’t know if these people are fans of a more over-the-top type of narration or what. She kept the story interesting and there was the perfect amount of emotion behind her words. She reminds me a little bit of Emma Galvin. Anyway, give it a try, decide for yourself.

Why all the hate for Tatiana?
