Less cozy but still good!

This is much less cozy than the first but still had some cozy vibes. Definitely check your triggers because this one has some rough bits. The story is progressing and a lot of this is continuation of the first and setting up the next but it resolved some of the first books open story lines and filled out some of the side characters. There’s some problematic characterizations of marginalized groups but I feel like it’s more ignorance as opposed of intentionally harmful. But that’s up for each reader to decide on their own.

I really enjoy these books.

These are fun books with magic, the threat of war and love. It's been years since I giggled over a book romance but the author really brings these characters to life. Only reason for the 4 stars are the cliff hanger endings.

Another great addition to the series

First, the narrator is *chefs kiss*! Just absolutely fabulous!

The second book in a series is not always as good as the first one, but this book doesn’t have that problem. It’s just as good as the first one and the story moved along nicely to expose more players in the game. A few unexpected twists and turns were executed nicely and we’re TOTALLY READY for the next book!

Great series!

Love it! I am impatiently waiting on my next credit to get the third one!
