please make a new recording
I apologize greatly to the woman who performed this but I stand by my comments on previous books in the series. I am just not a fan of the lisp or whatever it is about the reading that seems that way. Thankfully or unthankfully, depending on your point of view, I have bought the series because I've become very engrossed in these stories. Unfortunately, I just wish that it was a less frustrating listen.

The series took a while to get strong, but this is the best sorry from the series so far. The pacing was better and the characters seemed less repetitive.

meddling mother
Oh, I love Scottish tales, and this one is set in the Scottish highlands. Lady Sybil Lacey accompanies her good friend to the Highlands to be with her when she marries a local Laird. There she meets another Laird, Liam MacBride. Liam is surprised to find this English lass is not like the ones he's been told about. Sybil is surprised to find all Scots are not the barbarians they are made out to be. A romance begins to form between these two who have very set opinions of what the other should be. In the course of their romance barriers must be brought down and preconceived notions must be dispelled.

BEST of the series!!
This book had everything. I was engaged the whole time, laughed and actually cried. It is also the most sexy most romantic of the first 5 books. Hit hot hot without being a bit crude.
Wonderful all the way around. Worth a repeat read!

I really wish the sex wasn’t so descriptive. I fast forward and then back to get through those parts. I am addicted to the stories as they are so good.
