Book 2 The Hanged Man

Hugh Manning is on the run. Not from the police but associates who are ruthless and will stop at nothing to ensure their empire is safe. He knows too much and greed has put him in this position. He fled his home after they targetted his wife and then moved on to his neighbour. He went on the run with limited money (taken from his home a day later) and his neighbour's car. Amazingly he had not been found in his neighbour's house.

The people and events behind this unfold. A very powerful and a menacing group of people, with many secrets will do anything to escape capture and for them to be able to carry on.

The Bone Field killings were infamous. Bodies and remains were found at a Welsh farm and the true horror was still unfolding. Working out who they were is a long and drawn out process. The fact that they were not listed as missing persons doesn't help.

Two sets of police are slowly putting the clues together. Undercover offices chasing drug dealers is one strand of the story. Policemen Ray Mason, and his partner Dan are trying to find out who Mr Bone is. A reputation for assassinations proceeds him and he is a difficult man to catch.

The pace is fast and very exciting. No time to be bored at all as every page and chapter moves forward. This is a great listen and the characters, although not exactly nice, are well described.

Paul Thornley was very good with the delivery of the story

Finish the damn book.

Finish the damn book. So annoying that it is a chapter and not a book.
