sweet and action-filled

i enjoyed listening to the Gunslinger. The story is welk thought out and written. The narrator read it smoothly and the change in voices helped depict when different characters were speaking. Fully recommend and am looking forward to ither stories in the series.

Exciting

This was an exciting western style clean romance that was short and sweet. I loved the way the gunslinger protected and watched over the widow and how their romance grew! The way the characters treated each other made me love them, and provided great background for the story. The harshness of the Wild West was also well portrayed and was a great counterbalance to the tight knit family dynamics that were evident with the characters that the story focused on. I really liked listening to the story unfold, as the narrator did a wonderful job voicing the characters and providing mood and inflections! I received an ARC audiobook copy and this is my review.

Great Narration

Spencer Dillehay did a great job narrating this story. It is shorter than the books I typically listen to. It was a fun listen and I look forward to listening to more of the series.

Short But Powerful

A wonderful audiobook and it was only 2 hours and 54 minutes long. This story packed a powerful punch in that length of time. I loved Hannah and the other characters. Gus was a steady presence that she could depend on but what about the gunslinger they hired? Hannah soon found out if Eli Jones was a good man or not. Her brother in law, Wallace wanted the land Hannah had so he goes to great lengths to try to get her to marry him. When Hannah turns him down over and over you will find out just how far he will go to get that land. This is such a great story and I loved listening to the narrator too.
