4 1/2 stars

I love KA’s writing, I really do. There is no doubt that this book was HOT AS F***! There was lot’s of seriously sexy M/M action! There was also a focus on a ménage m/m/f relationship that I suspect will be a topic for another book. My concern is a message that KA may be sending with the plots and her character’s emotional health. The message seems to being sent that anyone that likes kink and the D/S power exchange must have some sort of trauma or abuse in their past to cause this desire, in them. So far, every one of the characters , in this series, has suffered some sort of abuse or severe trauma in their past and this emotional scarring is used to explain their need and desire for an alternate lifestyle. Sure, I can see that the nature of the D/s power exchange could be used to deal with emotional issues but, to assume that anyone who enjoy’s this alternative lifestyle must be emotionally scarred is not only unfair, it’s disrespectful. There is enough stereotyping, in the world, without writing romantic fiction that encourages even more. I understand that a writer wants to make their characters as interesting as possible, but writers need to realize that their readers may forget that it is fiction they are reading and, in turn, apply it to their everyday reality.
Don’t get me wrong, I really enjoyed the book and the H/h’s journey to their HEA, but the repeated theme ,in this series, has started rubbing me the wrong way.
This book has a lot of hard core sexual interactions and even some “ravage type” m/m role play, so if you have some triggers or if this type of role play offends you, pick a different series by KA.

The Greatest Risk

Ok, so the first 2 books in this series I like for different reasons. I liked that Kristen Ashley picked a topic not necessarily well known. Bdsm sure but female dommes is a totally different thing altogether. I loved this book because the power struggle but also because Stellan really understood Sixx.

He knows where his limits were and was straight about them. He isn’t a switch. PERIOD. But he gives Sixx an outlet for her Domme side. For that, it makes it extra HOT.
I loved their story it’s sweet and sad and a struggle and I think those are the best ones. If something is too easy in the books I read then I feel suspicious.

NO Dramalama! No joke there wasn’t any of it and I loved this to no end. I am all for angst and struggle but don’t give me drama for the sake of it.

Sixx really finds herself in this book in a way I don’t think I was expecting, I liked that Stellan pushes but he also knew when to pull back. He was sneaky about things but only to show her that people care.

This book was HOT, I wasn’t sure because again books 1 & 2 were good but I like my men to be ALPHA and boy oh boy is Stellan that. So I had NOTHING to be worried about. The best of the series in my opinion.

The Narration was outstanding; how she can do a male growl baffles me when she has such a female voice. I loved it.

BLAH :( way too much of nothing going on

This purchase is a ‘Great Risk’ - not up to KA’s usual eloquent writing style; I love her books, this one was a major disappointment for me.

BDSM Love Story

This is a hard book to love, especially if you aren't into the BDSM scene, but the love story is really wonderful, as are the ancillary characters, who appear in several other Ashley books. I['ve listened to it more than once, and still enjoy it.l You can always FF the scenes that are a little tough to listen to...

Interesting KA....

Enjoyed this book but storylines could have been a lot tighter, they were drawn out for what seemed like no point. Glad to know 'Sixx' story and watch her development and move to love. BDSM enviro is interesting to discover. Still love KA.

Stellan really knows how to take control...

In my opinion, this one was better than the 1st book, but not as good as the 2nd book in the series. Stellan and Sixx are both used to holding the upper hand in the playroom. He is a Master and she is a Mistress. Stellan realizes he cannot just sit back and let Sixx slip through his fingers like he did with Amelie so he decides to let Sixx know he has feelings for her and he intends to win her over.

Stellan was strong, smart, kind, loving and determined on owning Sixx. He displayed amazing control, patience and understanding on how he needed to handle the situation with Sixx. Sixx was one tough cookie to crack. Her heartbreaking past was devastating and her survival instincts and coping mechanisms made her into the woman she is today. There were times I was frustrated and I wanted to shake some sense into her as she kept trying to hold onto that part of her to try and protect Stellan from herself, but thankfully Stellan was able to break through in the end. When he realized he needed to let her take control at times and he be her sub; my heart melted for him even more. They mastered the equal divide so they were both able to stay true to themselves as far as still being Master and Mistress in the playroom. I loved that, it felt honest and real.

Overall, I thought it was a good wrap up to the series and I cannot wait to see what happens with Diesel, Maddox and Molly in Loose Ends. I think those 3 may have been one of my favorite parts of this book; as well as Ami.

As far as narration; I didn't really care for it. The voices she used kind of annoyed me; especially for Sixx. Her normal voice while she just read was the only decent voice. Plus, it's read in 3rd person and I prefer 1st person POV.

Another great KA novel.

KA is my favorite. I love that there was a blast from the past from Creed. My only complaint is that The Honey Trilogy is over.

Ok but not as good as other Kristin Ashley books

I usually enjoy Kristin Ashley books but I found this one a bit boring and lacking in chemistry. It was ok, but it won’t stick with me. Side note - lots of man on man action (I don’t mind it, but some might)
