Life changing book by Amber!

I am sad this book ended! I could not stop listening to this audiobook! If you have experienced deep grief Amber speaks words from your mouth. At least she did for me! I absolutely loved this book!!!!

Raw and sip touching

This was one of the best books I've ever listened to. It may help that I love the person writing it and her family as well. She was vulnerable and open about her pain. She intermingled so much Scripture into her life's story and I love that part. You could hear her pain but you could also hear her Hope. I'll give it some time and then reread the whole book!

Raw Honesty and Humility

Amber Emily Smith’s courage to share her most tragic life event was honest and raw, yet also filled with compassion and humility alike. You want to hold her through her tearful times all the while admiring her for all she is sharing from the depths of her soul. Her honesty about her walk with Jesus is compelling and real. Don’t let this faith-based story turn you away thinking you’ll just get a bunch of preaching. It’s not like that at all. Amber shares it all, all the questions, pain and sadness, and her encouragement and joy that she found through it all. To me, it’s a must-read. No matter what hard time you’ve gone through, or will go through, it’s like a compass and map, a survival kit for that time when you have need of one.

This is probably the best book I’ve ever listened to, the testimony! The raw emotional heartbreak makes you feel like you are on the bathroom floor with Amber! This book has everything and I believe every person should read this book, the ones in grief and for the ones who haven’t experienced grief yet! It has so much joy, testimony, heartbreak, Bible stories, scripture and so many gifts from their heartbreak. Amber reading this audiobook is absolutely the cherry on top of a phenomenal book.

Soul healing

The book was very intimate and read by the author. So personable as she held back tears often throughout the reading. I cried and smiled and felt as though she was right there talking with me all day. After hearing the acknowledgements in the end- especially the last one to Jesus I cried one final time and felt hope again. Praying for all those hurting. Get this book if your hurting so you can hear a story from another grieving sister in Christ, know you aren't alone, know there is hope, and most importantly find your relationship with Jesus again. -Amber Seay

Beautifully told

This author did a beautiful job of telling her story. She had me crying many times. I could definitely relate to the “on the bathroom floor” position of life. I had never heard of this woman or her story before. Audible just had it in my recommended for you section. I thought that the book would help me through my struggles in life. I loved reading her insights throughout the book, but after her story had been told, I was hoping for some additional chapters that would address the practical side. Geared more towards the readers. I wish this book had been described as an autobiography, not a self help book. I would definitely recommend the read to others, it just wasn’t what I thought it would be.
