kept me guessing

this was a very well written story. so many interconnecting turns and I enjoyed all of it. definitely a good thriller read. Both narrators were great!

Gripping Story + Excellent Narration = Perfection

Another 5-star read from Mia Sheridan! From the moment it started, I was hooked and stayed that way until the very end. The suspense, the twists, the emotion...it all hit perfectly, and I never saw the ending coming.

The audio production was fantastic. I already love Carly Robins, and she was incredible here. Keith Brown did an amazing job too. Their voices fit the tone and tension of the story perfectly. Together, they made the whole experience even more immersive.

If you enjoy thrillers with heart, complex characters, and top-notch narration, this one’s a must-listen!

I fell in love with this book!!! This was everything. And more!! I couldn’t stop listening !

Different!!

I really enjoyed this story! I’ve never read a romantic suspense and I fear I may have unlocked a new obsession!

I thought that maybe the plot was going to be predictable since it’s a romantic thriller/suspense, but I didn’t see the twists coming! I would definitely recommend this book.

This was my first Mia Sheridan book and I’m looking forward to reading more!

The Fix by Mia Sheridan has a 4.2 rating, and I completely understand why. This book was absolutely amazing, and I enjoyed every second of it. Despite covering extremely heavy subject matter, the story is not overly complicated and flows beautifully. There are many characters, yet each one plays an important role and never feels unnecessary.

The story follows Kam, a young woman whose life is shattered after surviving a brutal assault and an unimaginably tragic event that results in the loss of her mother and sister. In the aftermath, Kam is left traumatized, alone, and forced into circumstances no one should ever have to endure — including being separated from her child.

Years later, Rex, a former high school friend, reenters her life and becomes instrumental in helping Kam uncover the truth and search for the child she was forced to leave behind. Along the way, the story weaves in multiple perspectives and timelines, including characters like Posey and connections tied to Kam’s past, showing how deeply intertwined everyone’s lives truly are.

Mia Sheridan handles heartbreak, trauma, healing, and redemption with incredible care. Though the themes are dark, the story ultimately centers on resilience, love, and finding light after unimaginable loss. This was a powerful, emotional read that stayed with me long after I finished, and I highly recommend it to readers who aren’t afraid of a deeply moving story.
