Publisher's Summary

The long-lost magic brings doom....

We’ve been living in the shadow of the enchanter prophecy since my magic was released, and it seems that the darkness is finally closing in. There’s chaos everywhere; Brinnswick has become a war zone. The human and magical communities are doing everything in their power to save us, but it isn’t enough. Our enemies are countless and more powerful than anything we’ve ever seen.

The country has been in turmoil since the berserkers awakened an evil power, and somehow, my magic is connected to it. Ailin doesn’t know yet that the last time this magic was released in our realm, my ancestors sacrificed one of their own in order to keep the evil at bay. I have no doubt that he would burn the world around us in order to save me, but what if my sacrifice could save the world? I don’t want to leave him - he’s the best thing that’s ever happened to me - but if my death can guarantee his life, and the lives of our coven, then I’ll do whatever it takes to keep them safe.

The Enchanter’s Heart is the fourth and final book in The Ellwood Chronicles and is a continuation of Sebastian and Ailin’s story. It contains explicit material and is intended for mature adults 18 years of age and older.

Someone kill Sebastian already

Has there ever been a more irritating character in the history of story? Is there any creature that Sebastian does not fear? And for a guy who laments not having had a family and is now willing to lay down his life for his foster family he has absolutely no time or patience for his grandfather he can barely be polite to him despite the fact that he has never spent more than five minutes with him. I think that for me was what was most annoying about this book. But I was committed and wanted to hear how it ends. And definitely not a fan of the narrator.

Well done

The book series was overall well developed and narrated. The characters were all unique and the story flowed well from book to book. Only critique is that there was way too much use of the f-word. After a while it distracted from the story and characters. Outside of that, it was a good arc!

entertaining

A bit disappointed in the repetitive "ass hat" and other not so kind words.

it was OK

The winey characters got on my nerves. After 3 books you would expect the characters to mature somewhat. The narrator, though very good, had some inconsistencies when recording bits of story.

Terrific Ending for Ellwood Chronicle

I absolutely loved it when I read the e-book of this story. I even cried, so there were a few struggles to get pass the lump in my throat because of how emotional this ending was.
With the narrator, I flat out bawled like a baby and proud of it!
My absolute favorite part is how the three boys who took up the mantle of 3 finally returned. I was quite fond of those boys because they were such badasses!
This book deserve a 10 out of 5 stars but alas.. only five stars are available. but everyone should read this book. It's perect!

MAY THE MOTHER OF ALL WATCH OVER US ALL.

5*

Love Love Love this series. Listening after reading, I've picked up on many little things I missed. Especially now that I've read Thayer and Nikoli in the second series. Thank you Dear Author for your words and Narrator for your voice.

The war is coming to an end

The war is heading their way and Sebastian knows he somehow is the one that can end it all and keep his soulmate and his family safe. He's been on his own all his life and therefore underestimates how family works. But in the final fight it's not Sebastian who gives his life to safe the world they live in. He is no part of the three mentioned in the prophecy but a shock all the same. In the end it is the love of family and the help of the faes who come to the rescue. It was a wonderful journey which has come to an end and which Kenneth made come alive.

Great finale

A beautiful end to a womderful series. I wish we knew what happened between Thay and Toby, but it would be impossible for them not to. All the romance is overwhelming and adorable. The characters get the happy ending they deserve and I love it.

Kennith Obi mixes up voices but it still sounds brilliant and the emotions hit you like bricks. It's so good.

I didn't want it to end

Love love loved this fourth book in the series. It continued the story and development of the characters so strongly. Can't say too much without spoilers but I WILL say that I have loved this series from start to finish.
I look forward to enjoying more of Michele Notaro's work. Also, more of Kenneth Obi's. He just brings characters to life for me.
