If you might hire someone, read this book.

A great book that gives you the best way to start hiring. This guidance cleared up so many mistakes I've been making for years and didn't know any better.

Keep up the great work!

I’ve been a manager tools listener for over 8 years and have benefitted greatly from Mark and Mike! This is an excellent resource combining so many different podcasts. It will be required reading for all of the members of my team. Thanks for such a great book!

So practical, so wonderful

Mark reads his own book! And it is as succinct and actionable as you would hope. My best hire ever came from this guidance. Can’t recommend highly enough.

Opinionated and outdated

Content: Is full of classic "boomer" rules about what is correct, acceptable, etc. The kind your grandpa's hiring process might have included. Nowadays, this would just lead to a static process where talent slips through your fingers. May be useful if you have no experience whatsoever.

Performance: Should've gone with a professional voice actor. Mark's voice is grating and unsympathetic.

Lots of advertisement for their company products

The author advertises many times the ”manager tools” products for various situations. The advice feels occasionally quite USA-culture specific.
