Publisher's summary

A face he recognizes. Is it a wanted murderer? Or is Jack Widow seeing double?

Tired of people, Jack Widow takes a break. He camps out in the Alaskan wilderness on Kodiak Island, relying on nothing but his survival skills. It’s everything he wanted: quiet terrain, plenty of fishing, sleeping out under the stars, and no people. It seemed like the perfect vacation until Widow meets a man with a familiar face.

He recognizes a total stranger, but from where? The stranger goes by one name but has the face of another.

In this riveting new thriller by International Bestseller Scott Blade, Jack Widow investigates a man who is either a cursed lookalike or a deadly criminal.

Fans of Lee Child’s Jack Reacher, Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan, Vince Flynn’s Mitch Rapp, and Mark Greaney’s The Gray Man series will love the Jack Widow action-thriller-mystery series.

Jack Widow never disappoints!!!

I can’t get enough of this series, Scott Blade’s writing, and Allen Philip Ormond’s narration are the best combination of storytelling. Keep the stories coming!!!

another Jack Reacher

This story is somewhat like all the books in this series. when Widow got captured, it was usually a different way he gets out of it and becomes the hero.

Great book in the Jack Widow series. Can’t wait for the next three in the series to come onto Audible.

Reacheresque

The villain did not suffer enough. The ending was too quick. Seems like author got tired of writing and wrapped it up.

Widow is birdwatching…

Yes, Widow is tired of ‘peopling’ and has been birdwatching on Kodiak Island for a couple of weeks when he saves a man from a bear. He soon becomes entangled in a murder investigation and finding someone on the FBI Most Wanted list. Good story!

My HERO!!!!

For anyone who misses the way the Jack Reacher series used to be, you really should try this one. The protagonist in this series is Jack Widow and I swear he’s got to be Reacher’s son! Born to a single mother, father in the army. Never knew his father but was named after him. His mother raised him to “Do What is Right”. He’s 6’5” and 230 lbs. If you read Scott Blade’s bio you’ll see that at one point he had approached Lee Child and asked about taking over the Reacher series. Child told him to create his own. He did.

In this book Widow (also a wandering man) winds up in Kodiak, Alaska. An exFBI Agent has been murdered. The coastguards in the area have been arrested for his murder. There’s a newbie coastguard officer investigating, it’s her first assignment and she needs help proving her fellow coastguards’ innocence. As luck would have it she teams up with Widow. He had been getting ready to leave the area when he was attacked and then arrested. Knowing something is off he agrees to help.

Alan Philip Ormond is an AMAZING narrator. He does an Outstanding job narrating this book.
This book has my VERY HIGHEST RECOMMENDATION!!
