Entertaining & fun

The narrator was fantastic! Story was definitely entertaining & kept my interest, although, I feel like much of the humor would be lost to ppl who have never lived in nyc.

Surprisingly Terrific

Faultless story of a day: absorbing & complex characters caught up in our hideous zeitgeist.

A bit long and formulaic for my taste

Tedious detail. Stereotypical characters. I thought it would never get to an interesting point. I only halfway listened and sped through the final part where the action finally occurred. Perhaps I didn’t do it justice.

Good story, great narrator

Didn’t grab me like his earlier books, but still good. Interesting insights into the world of the Uber-wealthy.

A real drama

Just terrific. It touched on so many things: moneyed people, their servants, race relations, love and hate.

Fun!

Ballerini, as always, hits it out of the park with his reading of this fun and funny (and spot on) romp of a book. I listened to it in 2 days and enjoyed every moment.

Great read. Couldn’t put it down. Excellent performance.

Loved this book and the upstairs downstairs view of a very fancy NYC apartment building.

A bit hard to follow

I found the character's hard to follow and it was an over-explanation of situational descriptions.

The New York of us all

Loved Chicky & Julian and all the other layered storylines! It’s been an awhile since I’ve been so taken in by a listen.
Ballerini does the work justice!

Great characters

Really well written and reader was perfect for all of the characters. Suspenseful. Kept my attention throughout
