Not only is Graham Peterson unlucky in his choice of careers, he's also been terrible with women throughout his adult life. That changed when he met Alison. But within a month of their meeting, he got the news that he was about to become a father for the first time. The Diary of a Hapless Father charts those first three terrifying months of parenthood.
With all the angst and fear of a new father, Graham needs to pull his socks up if he's going to become the father he always dreamed he would be. With all the pitfalls and worries of a new father charted, this book is for all those who have been through early parenthood, or just want to know how a man deals with all those things internally. Hapless Father is the second in a series of diaries by Graham Peterson, who sometimes thinks he's writing to an alien warlord from the future.
The first audiobook in the series, The Diary of an Expectant Father is available on Amazon and Audible.

The first book is the journey from finding out his girlfriend of a few weeks is pregnant to the birth. The second book is the first 3 months with a newborn baby. The books are written in diary entry style and I enjoyed seeing Graham's inner thoughts. I liked Graham and Alison, I could relate to the sleepless nights (and days) of early parenthood.
I listened to the audiobook edition which I received free in exchange for an honest review. The narrator was well suited to this book. He spoke clearly and at a good pace.

Who was your favorite character and why?
Graham, the narrator and writer of the diary, is a great character. Becoming a father is a life changing experience and Graham is tackling it head on. Between midnight feeds and napalm poo nappies, Graham is jumping in head first. I love his dedication to his son and what it takes to be a father. Just as in book 1, Graham is doing all the research he can to do the best he can.Any additional comments?
The Diary of a Hapless Father: Months 0-3 continues the story of Graham and Alison, a couple who became pregnant after only being together for a month. This book starts where book 1 left off - at the hospital where their son Charlie is born. We join Graham and Alison as they bring baby Charlie home and navigate the first 3 months of parenthood. As with book 1 in this series, I loved Mr. Sortwell's writing style. Journaling the events as they happen makes for a great read. I also like all of the British slang used in the book ie: nappies (for diapers), lounge (for living room), wind (gas) and grotto (Christmas scene that is usually in a dept store window).
Mr. Watt's reading is just a pleasant as the first book. He continues to give each character their own voice and the emotion he puts forth is great. I loved his display of frustration when Charlie is up all night with colic and how he handled Graham's agitation with it. He truly brought you right into the scene as if you were there.
I would recommend this book to my friends who are new parents and 'old' parents alike. I can't wait to see what happens next to this little family!
Graham is at it again ... with Charlie in tow!

The author, Pete Sortwell once again had me totally entertained. Some of the things he said had taken me back to when my kids were born and their father didn't know what was going on. We can laugh about it now as we think back. The narrator, Will M Watt once again delivers another flawless story to us and I still love the accent! Great job guys!
Another witty tale about fatherhood!

Any additional comments?
I revieved this audiobook in return for an unbiased review. This continues directly from The diary of an expectant father, now the baby is born and Graham loggs all of his frustrations and joys of his newfound fatherhood.
Just as hillarious as the previous book.
I recomend all prospective fathers (or mothers) to listen/read this book.
once again perfectly narrated by Will M Watt, siuted the comical style without sounding rediculous
great follow up

In this book, we see how much love and joy one little colicky baby boy can bring to one virtually clueless (and exhausted) man. This book should be marketed as the What to Expect the 1st 3 months for Fathers.
Will M. Watt did a great job narrating. His pace and comedic timing was perfect. I felt like I was listening to the real Graham. I couldn't help but be reminded of the main character in Bridget Jones' Diary. Graham could be her long-lost twin.
Based on narration, I rate this version: 3.5 stars due to the 4 star rating of the narration. I received a copy of this Audible book in exchange for an unbiased review.

Would you listen to The Diary of a Hapless Father: Months 0-3 again? Why?
No, but I rarely do that. What did you like best about this story?
I felt all of the ups and downs of being new parents: the sleepless nights, the first gas smile, etc..What about Will M. Watt’s performance did you like?
He has a great accent. His voices are distinct, and his acting ability is great!Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
I laughed so hard I almost cried, at some of the feelings these poor parents evoked! Thankfully we don't have any babies in the house, or it probably wouldn't have been funny at all!Any additional comments?
This story is for those who like to laugh at the misfortunes of others.Parenting, made darkly funny!

Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?
Diary of an Expectant Father is the second novella in a series about-you guessed it- a new and clueless dad. While the first novella was witty and decorative, this one delved a lte too much into the daily rigor of the dad.Graham is a new young dad and partner. The story begins with the birth of baby Charlie. The story of the birth is amusing, but then the book delves into too much day to day and is not reminiscent of the wit in his first book. I
How would you have changed the story to make it more enjoyable?
I will read the authors. Next book-I hope it contains more antics from baby and couple.Which character – as performed by Will M. Watt – was your favorite?
Wow, I really heard this as first person. Was The Diary of a Hapless Father: Months 0-3 worth the listening time?
It flowed nicely and was amusing. I would recommend listening to it.Sweet but underwhelming 2nd in a series
