From Italy in 1733 to Edinburgh in 1831 to a series of chilling murders in London in 1870 and a lethal game of revenge decades later, a watch touches lives with misfortune - until it comes into the hands of one young woman who might be able to stop it for good.

This outstanding collaboration between four outstanding novelists follows characters who are irrevocably linked by fate, each one playing a key role in breaking the curse once and for all.

I LOVE Susanna Kearsley but this was not up to her normal standards. I think the narrator ruined it. She was awful. Perhaps with someone else, it would’ve been more tolerable to listen to and I could’ve enjoyed the storyline more. Add it was, I just gritted my teeth and finished as soon as I could.

Disappointed

I had a hard time getting into it, in the first story, which is odd because Susanna Kearsley is one of my favorite authors, so it might have been just life distractions. But towards the end of the first part of the story I was hooked. What an awesome idea to tell a story threaded through time told by different authors. It made it oddly more realistic because I knew some of the characters as I had read stories including them before.(Huber). The story is very compelling and leaves you anxious to know the next part. Plus, I've been introduced to new characters and authors with whom I now wish to become acquainted! What a unique approach to a story and a wonderful idea to widen the authors exposure.

I love this! What a "novel" idea-lol!

I find myself agreeing with other reviewers about the poor narration. The story was, however, sufficiently intriguing to listen anyway. I simply turned up the speed a little and listened only while occupied with other tasks in order to minimize the annoyance.

Good story, annoying narrator

If I hadn’t already read this book and loved the tales, I’d never have completed the audiobook version. The narration is dreadful. Please read the anthology. The stories are fabulous, especially those by Susanna Kearsley and Anna Lee Huber.

The authors did an excellent job with the stories linked by a malevolent watch. Moving forward through time meant each writer could feature their own strengths.
The narrator Anne Flosnik evokes strong opinions of her voice and style. I’m a fan so she added to my pleasure.

Very Enjoyable
