I enjoy English history especially when it’s presented accurately with a top notch narrator. A++

The narrator is magnificent!! Many times the joy of a well written book is diminished by poor narration.
Not so here. I will follow this narrator as well as Author Weir.

Incredibly well done portrait of a Tudor power-player and what it required to live on the knifes-edge of palace politics.

The Cardinal as a Man

I have read numerous books about this time period. I liked the fact that this one focused on the cardinal as a person. It is the author’s “take” on his life and is interesting.

Personal look at complex man…

Alison Weir provides a personal view of a political and religious figure so prominent in King Henry’s early life. I don’t care for the voice of this narrator (especially this one as she tries to do men’s voices throughout) but I like Alison’s work. If I could see better I would have read it instead of audio version.
