Story
The world is dying. The dead are rising. But for the survivors, the dead aren't the only threat. As chaos takes hold of St. Louis, Colin Bennett finds himself on the run. Though the Missouri River is the only thing separating the husband and father from his family, it may as well be an ocean. Colin and a few friends are forced to fight for survival as they seek out a safe haven for themselves and the other survivors they meet along the way. Together, they set out to create a new life for themselves and re-establish some order in a dying world.

Story
Banished by bad decisions to spend the summer with his great-grandmother, Liam Peters thinks his life is over. After all, Marty Peters is a tough woman to be around. Maybe she wouldn't be so bad if she'd just take an interest in the modern technology he loves. Sure, she has some insight to her...but the woman is practically "pushing daisies". Not surprisingly, as tornado sirens announce a city-wide emergency, Liam discovers why that term should be avoided...well...like the plague.

Story
A mutating plague is spreading. It's killing two of every three people on Earth. And Mike Crenshaw is totally unprepared. From the world of The Traveler Series comes a new cast of characters, new obstacles, and the same devastating, world-altering virus which plunges society into the depth of a dystopian hell. Unprepared begins in the hours before The Scourge takes hold. As if ripped from today's headlines, governments react too slowly and the disease spreads too fast. Quarantines don't work. Infrastructure fails. People die.

The Blue Plague came roaring out of the Congo and into the United States - and it can’t be stopped. The Infected become violently insane and impossibly strong. They’re not zombies - no, that would be too easy - they’re something much worse. The Infected are violent and unstoppable, but they can think. They can heal from most wounds. And worst of all - they can reproduce.

When you have to kill the same terrorist twice in one week there’s either something wrong with your world or something wrong with your skills - and there’s nothing wrong with Joe Ledger’s skills. And that’s both a good and a bad thing. It’s good because he’s a Baltimore detective who has just been secretly recruited by the government to lead a new task force created to deal with the problems that Homeland Security can’t handle....

Good series
Only thing I really dislike is that you have to buy the next book to find out what happens. Overall though, the plot is good and the characters are relatable. I am enjoying 1 -3. Now on to what is happening with the cop.

Can’t wait for more
The uneasiness is seeping slowly as the story proceeds and is very captivating. I found myself abandoning whatever I was doing while listening and holding my breath while waiting to what will be next. I can’t wait to hear the rest of the story. A good book for a new zombie/apocalyptic literature fan.
