Too much Renee…

… not enough Bosch. Wish Harry had been in the book a lot more. He’s a thousand times more interesting than Det Ballard.

Connelly does it again

Connelly takes us on another adventure with Harry and Renee. The story has twists and turns and makes me so excited for the future. I loved it and I am glad that MC addressed everything that has been going on and intertwines it into the story. My new favorite character is Pinto.

Can't wait for the next chapter of this story.

Love the direction these two characters are heading. Really enjoyed the incorporation of current events, and the way the story used unsettled times to it's advantage. Keep this new dynamic duo working to save the world.

another great addition to my Bosch library. Story was a little slower in the beginning than usual, but still a solid read. I look forward to Michael Connelly releases each year. He is my favorite author!

Excellent, as always

I literally cannot wait for the next Michael Connelly book to come out. I own all of them and there is nothing like them. This one does not disappoint at all, and is one of my favorites already.

Great story

I enjoyed listening to this book with the twists and turns in the story. I liked the narration by Christine Lakin and Titus Welliver. I can't wait for the next book.

Excellent

I love all the Harry Bosch and the ones with Rene Ballard are special. This book is mostly Rene Ballard, Harry plays a minor role. There are a couple of great cases, linked murders and serial tapes. Michael Connelly is an excellent writer, I appreciate how he weaves in the pandemic and the pressures on the police, as always he excellently portrays the department politics, Rene, like Harry, is an outsider.This is a compelling listen written by a master and read by the best.

Ballard is the new Bosch

Love this kick-ass heroine and her partnership with the legendary Harry Bosch. A great continuation of the series.
