Story
After teleporting his students all over the world in a rather dramatic attempt to stave off the inevitable apocalypse, Teach is busy. Instead of relaxing, he now has to slaughter the most powerful of beasts while running around and saving civilization as a whole. Re-Haan, his dragon mistress, isn’t helping either. She just waves him goodbye as he is swallowed by a massive sandworm. Then he finds an object that should be impossible, a hyper-dense projectile just like one that nearly bisected and killed him while he was breaking through....

Drew has finally got it all together. First, there is his pocket dimension, a quickly growing area based around his good buddy, Tree. Then there are his students, six random kids he...liberated. Finally, there is the dragon stalking him. Cultivating, sailing, staying ahead of trouble. That’s his plan as he moves into the creation of his solid Core. Seducing a dragon was a total accident. Nuking an Island? Let’s not focus on the details. They started it. What’s the best thing to do while getting his magical career and development back on track? Play pirate, of course!

Story
His students scattered to the four corners of the planet, Drew finally has some time to do maintenance on his own little world. The first thing he does, of course, is to get all the dragons drunk and then kidnap them. Letting them simmer in a bootcamp of draconic design in order to teach the millenia old reptiles discipline and new tricks is sure to work. His students continue their duty of protecting their corners. They spend their time living as queens, being surrounded by a rather fuzzy harem, ruling with iron fists, or being loved by all.

Story
A thousand-year-old cultivator, Drew, is about to ascend to a higher existence. As he begins the process, he finds out he has pissed off one too many demigods. Though he manages to fight off the concerted effort of sect elders and patriarchs...he is slapped away from the higher realms by something. After an instant or an eternity, he awakens on a lower realm! The air is filled with garbage energy, and his emotions of all things are allowing him to control it. For a cultivator that has spent his existence absolutely controlling his thoughts...that won’t do at all.

Story
A lot had changed in "The Holy Sky" School during the six weeks that Hadjar Darkhan was away. Everyone who was in the capital at the time became much stronger, thanks to the regular skirmishes along the Imperial road. By the emperor's decree, all the disciples of the Imperial martial arts schools were allowed to visit the infamous and highly coveted Wastelands. "The Holy Sky's" disciples were especially fortunate - they'd been given a two-week head start to find the map leading to Emperor Decater's tomb, as well as the key that would allow them to enter his chambers.

The Beginning After the End: Publisher's Pack 2 contains books 3 and 4 of The Beginning After the End series, Beckoning Fates and Horizon's Edge. Though Arthur Leywin would like nothing more than to pursue his studies at the esteemed Xyrus Academy, where he hopes to push his already potent magical abilities to new plateaus and perhaps discover something more about his reincarnation into this world, he finds the politics of the school’s halls even more challenging to navigate than those of the council chambers he once inhabited as King Grey.

Publisher's Summary
A sea of savage beasts. An ancient order of mages. A looming cataclysm.
Now that Drew has become even more powerful by stepping into the Foundation Realm, new challenges await him. He is quietly growing his school and sect, and allowing his students to recruit whoever they want so he can take it easy.
Trouble looms as his old mistakes come back to haunt him. The entire planet is about to be sent down a savage and unforgiving path, and it might be his fault. Monsters are popping up everywhere, packs of deadly animals led by terrible mutants. The worst part? They seem to be steered by some higher power, some nefarious being that holds the reins of the planet.
His students have turned from bright-eyed, eager learners...into lazy good-for-nothings. Whoops. It seemed he was too influential in their development. Teach now has to spend large amounts of time crafting gear for all the new recruits, and the rising tensions are giving him a headache.
Teach might just decide to end them all. He had a fresh start once … maybe he should try again?

I am a little disappointed in this third novel
What started as a clear and precise story with excellent motives and good storyline has become a confusing mess of interconnected random stories. I am quickly losing interest in this whole story. At this point I’m not even sure if I’m going to pick up the fourth book. It is sad to see such an excellent concept and storyline fragment into this jumbled mess. I would highly recommend the first two novels in this series without hesitation but this third novel gives me pause and I am not sure an almost hate to see what the next novel will bring.

Downhill Quick
This series went downhill fast. I couldn't even finish this book. The story jumps from one story line to another and you find yourself wondering if you missed something, because it is so hard to follow. And a series that had a clear path has jumped the wagon and has gone rouge. I have no idea where this storyline is going now, and find myself not wanted to find out either.

Now the Tao of Cultivation - Apparently
The Tao of Magic... in the middle of this book I suddenly felt a sense of deja vu - like I was listening to The Ten Realms and the growth of Alva. This isn't an accusation of plagiarism, I'm just telling you that in this book there's a lot more about about management, immigration to the Tree, interacting with the King as a client, and so on. Future books are different, but this one is certainly setting up characters and details that will be used then.
The Kindle version of the book advertises this as a 'Western Cultivation Series'. And a turn towards cultivation certainly happened. So there's no real complaint.
Despite the world building, this book has plenty pf what I see are core story line threads: those of Drew and the unintended consequences of his actions, the investigation of 'what is going on with this messed up world?', and again those questions of 'how to interact with people in a way that is positive to them'. And we do see character development.

What happened
After the first 2 books, I rushed to pick this up as soon as it was available. Sadly this was a jumbled mess and disappointing. Way too many storylines and chapters dedicated to side stories/characters. Took several weeks to finish this with at least 4 other books finished in between. Hope this series finds it's way again. This whole book felt like a side quest book and not a very good one.
