Story
After teleporting his students all over the world in a rather dramatic attempt to stave off the inevitable apocalypse, Teach is busy. Instead of relaxing, he now has to slaughter the most powerful of beasts while running around and saving civilization as a whole. Re-Haan, his dragon mistress, isn’t helping either. She just waves him goodbye as he is swallowed by a massive sandworm. Then he finds an object that should be impossible, a hyper-dense projectile just like one that nearly bisected and killed him while he was breaking through....

Story
Felix's life on Earth had become a series of dead-end jobs, ruined relationships, and rotating apartments smaller than most postage stamps. By all accounts, even his own, he was a coward. Too afraid to move forward, to take risks. Yet when given the chance to choose between risking his life or walking away from a deadly encounter, he didn't hesitate. Moments before his untimely demise, Felix was snatched from earth and thrust into a magical world known only as "The Continent". Empowered by the "System", he learns that he can strengthen himself through combat and dedication.

Life for Cha Ming is a daily grind. A rat race where people don’t make any real decisions. When he asks the universe for something more, fate itself answers his prayer. A talisman brush older than time itself sends him to another world, where magic, fortune, and danger await. Now, the world is at his fingertips. He has a new life, a new body, and can wield the five elements. It’s too bad his new home is a place where might makes right, and immortal cultivators and demons fight at the drop of a hat. Story
He was born anew in a world where martial arts were indistinguishable from magic. He only received a neuronet and meaningless desires from his past life. What lies ahead? He dreamed of adventure and freedom, but those dreams were taken away from him. The same way his mother, father, and sister had been taken away. They took the kingdom, they took his own destiny. But he is willing to wage a war, against the whole world if need be, to bring everything back.

Publisher's Summary
A sea of savage beasts. An ancient order of mages. A looming cataclysm.
Now that Drew has become even more powerful by stepping into the Foundation Realm, new challenges await him. He is quietly growing his school and sect, and allowing his students to recruit whoever they want so he can take it easy.
Trouble looms as his old mistakes come back to haunt him. The entire planet is about to be sent down a savage and unforgiving path, and it might be his fault. Monsters are popping up everywhere, packs of deadly animals led by terrible mutants. The worst part? They seem to be steered by some higher power, some nefarious being that holds the reins of the planet.
His students have turned from bright-eyed, eager learners...into lazy good-for-nothings. Whoops. It seemed he was too influential in their development. Teach now has to spend large amounts of time crafting gear for all the new recruits, and the rising tensions are giving him a headache.
Teach might just decide to end them all. He had a fresh start once … maybe he should try again?

I am a little disappointed in this third novel
What started as a clear and precise story with excellent motives and good storyline has become a confusing mess of interconnected random stories. I am quickly losing interest in this whole story. At this point I’m not even sure if I’m going to pick up the fourth book. It is sad to see such an excellent concept and storyline fragment into this jumbled mess. I would highly recommend the first two novels in this series without hesitation but this third novel gives me pause and I am not sure an almost hate to see what the next novel will bring.

Downhill Quick
This series went downhill fast. I couldn't even finish this book. The story jumps from one story line to another and you find yourself wondering if you missed something, because it is so hard to follow. And a series that had a clear path has jumped the wagon and has gone rouge. I have no idea where this storyline is going now, and find myself not wanted to find out either.

Good Story - Complex - Worsening Language
I like the multiple points of view that add depth and show that the main character(s) are not the be all and end all. Nice world building for his school, students and the greater world at larger. Excellent story and character development.
The characters are increasingly using excessively foul, pointless, highly offensive and vulgar language to express themselves, including both the C word and and excessive, repetitive use of the F word. This fairly good author is destroying his work because he is too lazy to convey his characters thoughts without this ugly method. This is horrid enough that I have dropped the overall a full star below the performance and story ratings.

Review
I enjoy this audiobook all the way up to the halfway mark!. for some strange reason it just got weird. It feels like there’s two different authors. I went on to listen book 3 and its worse. Cultivation is a big theme in this book, but the ability for them to gain power through cultivation is so easy it’s pointless, The characters is essentially overpowered. There is one theme about cultivation it’s a great deal of power but requires hard work and sacrifice to obtain it. This audiobook reduce is the contcept to a joke🤦♂️. Pavo Proczko pretty much carries this audiobook. One of the reason why I was able to get the book 3.

Now the Tao of Cultivation - Apparently
The Tao of Magic... in the middle of this book I suddenly felt a sense of deja vu - like I was listening to The Ten Realms and the growth of Alva. This isn't an accusation of plagiarism, I'm just telling you that in this book there's a lot more about about management, immigration to the Tree, interacting with the King as a client, and so on. Future books are different, but this one is certainly setting up characters and details that will be used then.
The Kindle version of the book advertises this as a 'Western Cultivation Series'. And a turn towards cultivation certainly happened. So there's no real complaint.
Despite the world building, this book has plenty pf what I see are core story line threads: those of Drew and the unintended consequences of his actions, the investigation of 'what is going on with this messed up world?', and again those questions of 'how to interact with people in a way that is positive to them'. And we do see character development.
