Violet, Felbar, Echo, and Gerold were sent back to their respective homelands to warn their leadership about the upcoming threat of enhanced Dungeon Cores, as well as obtaining help to contain them, but each representative has met with some hiccups along the way. Extricating themselves from their unexpected captivity becomes a priority, if only so that they can get back to the wasteland and Sandra’s dungeon. Unfortunately, events and threats back home require their attention before they can return.

Fantastic

I usually like the first and last books in a series the most. This is neither, but it is by far my favorite book in my favorite series that Johnathan Brooks has written. This book has so much crafting and character development. I loved it.

I have been waiting for this one

This is a great series, I really like the performance from Louise Cooksey aswell, I am looking forward to get into another dungeon world

Tiresome challenges

The whole book is filled with tiresome challenges which make little sense. the central problem is essentially mind control of the main character. Which means that there is little to no development or agency which is just boring. mind control is a horrible uninteresting trope in fantasy in my opinion. it is also fought off with the power of friend ship which I mean fucking come on.

The side plots are also extremely tiresome. all the side characters are immediately jailed for no real reason without even being listened to. I totally would have bought it if it was cause of the link to a dungeon but it's not. each character is sidelined for idiotic reasons. This makes all the races except the orcs just seem like idiots. Especially the gnomes king and queen.

Also there is no agency in any of the side plots because they spend the whole sub plot in jail. But the worst part of the subplots is the insane thot that all the side characters abandoned the main character because they didn't return within like three days. Like did you honestly expect immediate trust? it took a day off travel by huge bird to get there how could you possibly expect any response within two weeks?

Tiresome the whole book...

Dungeon under siege

Sandra’s dungeon is in trouble. There are four dungeons trying to destroy her and she has a homicidal dungeon fragment trying to take her mind over. Her bonded friends are no where to be found. She has to find a way to regain her control and defend her dungeon if she can save the people of the world.

What a great series! This is my favorite of Jonathan Brooks dungeon series. All of the characters are very well developed. There were only a few parts when I was busy trying to tell her what she needed to do. I am really looking forward to the next book in the series. I enjoyed this series very much!

the craftiest!!!

Great story and narration!

Our lovable crafting dungeon is back and under siege from the dungeons surrounding her! Will her friends be able to warn the sentient races and time to prevent catastrophe? Will she be able to defend against the unending hordes of the dungeons united against her?

Louise does a great job with the narration!

This was a great book, and I can't wait to find out what happens in the next one!

We all knew he had to come back.

Well what can I say. Jonathan Brooks is a master of dungeon core. The Crafting Dungeon series has been excellent from the very first book, but he's really refined his storytelling skills since the first book.

About half of this book is made up of the misadventures of the bonded alloes in their home nations. Theres a bit of everything between the elf, gnome, orc, and dwarf nations.

Towards the end we get an impression of the future where they may build the adventurer guild. I speculate that Sandra's solutions for the Core problem may potentially make this series the far distant past of Dungeon World... that's just wild speculation on my part though.

The epilogue reminds us of old enemies whonare out their waiting to return.

if you enjoyed the prior books you will enjoy this one some of the stuff made me go why why do that, but overall a good dungeon core litrpg book

I await to immerse myself in jonatans last chapter in this series he and his expansive mind as usual create exvellence

Ground to a halt.

The last book ended on a frustrating cliffhanger and this one doesn't get moving with any speed. the first part of this book isn't fun to listen to and I can't be bothered to continue.

Some random background noise??

I have no idea what the narrator was doing to create the constant quiet tapping noises that were present at various times in the audio but it really needs to stop.

Brilliant as always

This series continues to keep me hooked, as does most of Jonathan’s work ! Nice take on a dungeon core and I keen to see how things continue to develop ! Narrator has done an excellent job as always
