Publisher's summary

A summer rental, a new beginning....

Hannah Russell’s carefully crafted plans for her life have been upended without warning. When her best friend died suddenly, Hannah became guardian to a five-year-old named Noah. With no experience at motherhood, she’s terrified she’s not up to the challenge. She and Noah need time to get to know each other, so she decides to rent a country house with stunning views on a lake in rural Colorado.

When they arrive at the house, they are greeted by the owner, a handsome man who promises to stay out of their way. But his clumsy Great Dane, Romeo, has other ideas and Noah immediately bonds with the lovable dog. As Hannah learns to become a mother, Owen Abrams, who is recovering from his own grief, can’t help but be drawn out of his solitude by his guests.

But life throws more challenges at this unlikely trio and they are tested in ways they never thought possible. All three will discover their strengths and, despite their differences, they will fight to become a family. And the people of Sullivan’s Crossing will rally around them to offer all of the support they need.

Number-one New York Times best-selling author Robyn Carr delivers an emotional and triumphant novel about the fierce power of a mother’s love.

Such a nice listen

Honestly, I wasn’t sure I’d love this like all the other Robyn Carr books- But I did love it!! I had such a hard time even stopping listening. Since I only listen while walking- I just couldn’t hardly stop walking!! This book is a little different- winding in a wonderful mystery among a beautiful love story- that brings together an unlikely family.
Just sit back and let Robyn and Terese let you escape and enjoy an awesome story!!

Country guest house

I loved it. The characters and story were so interesting I couldn’t stop until I finished. The little boy Noah was so real as he struggled with losing his Mom and learning to love his new family.

CAN'T GET ANY BETTER!! DESERVES A 10-STAR RATING!!

Gezzzz I didn't want this book to end. I know it's ridiculous to say but I get homesick to hear one of Robyn Carr's new releases and with Therese Plummer's voice. This book was absolutely wonderful and I wish it were longer. I listened to it without pausing. I have listened to ALL of Robyn's series and NEVER get tired of them. Therese Plummer's voice is so addictive. What a talent!!!!!!!

I anxiously await ANOTHER release in the Sullivan's Crossing series!

You can never go wrong with Robyn Carr and Therese Plummer!! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 This story did not disappoint. Love, mystery, suspense, little boy and romance. Such a good book. I didn’t want to stop listening. I don’t like spoilers so I will just say well worth the credit. Now I have to wait for the next book in the series 😞

Great book.

Was very hard to put down. One of her best stories. I was listening to it in the middle of the night instead of going back to sleep

Worth the wait

A wonderful addition to this series. Great narration. Two lost souls find each in the town so many of us would like to live in. Add in an adorable sweet boy, an enormous happy dog and you cannot help, but adore this read/listen. Just finished and already waiting for the next in the series.
