Robyn Carr and the years after 9-11

Robyn Carr does a great deal of research for her books, I’m sure, but for Blue Skies, she has done an exceptional amount! Her blend of fact and fiction strikes a “good read” balance! As always, I enjoy her characters, at least the good guys! Thanks Robyn Carr!

Blue Skies

I thoroughly enjoyed this book. The story was informative and the characters were interesting.

Quite different — in a good way!

Perhaps it’s largely because I grew up flying — was a “pilot’s brat”, but I really enjoyed this one, set in flying world within the several years post-09/11. As she does always, Robyn Carr thoroughly researches the settings, details, characters she decides to bring us. I really especially enjoyed the unusual characters for this one — & of course, for me, the many interesting details re pilots, setting up an airline business interface of huge changes! Good book!

Her books are great, very entertaining. Some of them have a little too much sex but this book was perfect!

And the joke Carlyle does at the stand when everyone is crazy turned out to be a meme on Facebook. Laughed a second time when I saw it

Another Good Read

it was a slow romance, but still a great read. The characters were unique and well developed. A lot of information with reference to the airline businesses after 9-11. As always Theresa Plummer did an exceptional job with the narration.

Another great story!

This is a good standalone title. It makes for a light and relaxing listen before bed. I especially enjoyed Robin’s observances of human nature and her skillful way of tucking those tidbits perfectly inside each her character’s, for they make us laugh a little, roll our eye’s or even smile in a bit of melancholy. Either way, Ms. Carr’s tales are endlessly a joy! Narrator, Therese Plummer is one of the most talented voice actors I’ve ever heard. Props to you both, Ladies!!

This story flies high and doesn't disappoint

Loved it!! Personal to me

I loved that this book is about the airlines! I have been in the industry since 1995 and it was fun and awesome to hear the happenings from behind the executive doors… in my capacity, I regularly get to meet with my CEO,COO and President, along with other department heads…. I can personally feel Nikki’s passion for her job and her industry… Robin did an amazing job on the research of the everyday frontline and support center jobs of an airline….
