Publisher's Summary
Samuel, a 14th-century lad, runs away from home and finds himself entrapped in the vampire world. Pursued by Zephinius, an elder of the night breed, Samuel undergoes a grueling journey with his nemesis in bloodthirsty pursuit. Witches, vampires, quilled bears, fanged beasts called Reddlins, and wolves test his mettle, but Samuel has on his side a host of angels who protect him while tracking the fallen angels led by Lucifer who are traveling in the company of the vampires.
In this epic tale of good and evil, Samuel confronts what every wise man must face — the vampire within — and as he unlocks his own dormant powers, he reveals the secret of his mysterious birth. The Color of Crimson, unlike other novels of this genre, offers not only spine-tingling adventure, but also a deeper look at the line between human and vampire.

The beginning of an epic adventure...
I loved this audiobook! I was not sure what to expect as this seems to be a new author but I was not disappointed. This is definitely for people who are looking for a good action/adventure as this is full of battles between good and evil, monsters and creatures, and a tail of self discovery.
Additionally the narration and sound effects are spot on. The sound effects help draw you into the story line and the scene.
Also seems to be an open ending for a second book?! I hope so, would love to be able to delve deeper into this world the author created.

Tense and thrilling
A wonderful plunge into a magical world of mystery, monsters, and friendship. The narration is terrific. The sound FX enhance the experience and is reminiscent of old school radio dramas. I look forward to more stories by Christopher Randolph.
