Great Suspense

This feels like a crime novel though it occasionally has decent elements of horror. I much prefer this compared to Stolen Tounges.

What a gem

Holy cow, this is amazing. I read Stolen Tongues after reading the NoSleep story, and decided to give this a shot after that. This story is worth every penny. What an amazing continuation of that whole universe!

Amazing from start to finish

This is a great prequel to stolen tongues. Expands on the lore of the imposter as well as the local tribes. The author is not indigenous but he does a great job of bringing his indigenous characters to life, exploring the complexities of life after colonialization and the impacts of that. Also it's genuinely terrifying. I couldn't put this down.

Great narration and story

Really good read. Love the way it explored the mythology of the creature and spirits from Stolen Tongues

This book isn't paced as well as Stolen Tongues. However it was a decent listen.

Better than Stolen Tongues!!

This book had me so hooked the entire listen!! Don't get me wrong, I love Stolen Tongues (relistening after this review) and it is the reason I'm here, but this one resonated with me much more! I laughed, I cried, the voice actor gave such great delivery of every single line it's more worth listening than reading in my opinion! Terrific job Felix for creating this banger of a horror novel (also get help) 😂😂 and terrific job to Gary for bringing the story to life!! 11/10!!!!

Phenomenal follow up to Stolen Tongues

A fantastic follow up and prequel to Stolen Tongues. I love the way Blackwell writes. You can tell the enormous amount of heart and research that went into this book.
