Fast paced coming of age horror

I loved the whole writing style of this book. Flashing between present and past, answering and creating new questions. You will immediately be connected to Mav and his family! Paused multiple times to process the shock throughout this tale!

Unique storyline.

I really enjoyed this rare type of horror. I say rare bc most of my listening (all horror) has been pretty shotty at best. This one was truly different and scary.
Most creature features have a monster that comes from the sky, or deep ocean, or legend. I didn’t see this one coming, and hope to read more like this.

Characters well developed, enough so I cared about most of them. While there was no twisted ending, which I enjoy most in my listening, it was still good. I was hoping a sequel may happen, but I bet not. Oh well. Highly recommend.

This narrator is so good that it feels like his words came out of my head.

Good story and narration

Nothing tremendously original. Sort of like the Outsider meets Lovecraft. But absolutely worth your time. Entertaining and written in a fresh new tone. Narrator I’d give an 8.5/10. Not Will Patton good but getting there. That’s saying something

interesting antagonist

story felt a little short for the scope of the tale. great protagonist and great narration with a really good antag. not the authors best work but a fun read
