Publisher's Summary

She'll save Christmas just to spite him....

When a late season hurricane hits Merry, Connecticut, city manager and single dad Noah Yates has to inform the already devastated residents that there won't be a Christmas Festival this year. No festival means no tourism dollars. A disaster of epic proportions for his hometown.

But when home renovation expert slash smoking hot reality TV star Catalina King shows up with a camera crew and a budget big enough to put the town back together again, Noah balks. Hard. The last time Cat was in town she stirred up trouble everywhere she went. (Residents are still talking about the town's first and only bar fight.)

Noah doesn't need a TV diva capitalizing on his town's tragedy or filling his daughter's head with glitz and glam.

Cat is ready and willing to put Merry back in Christmas mode with a holiday special that will leave everyone believing in miracles and get her friends back in the home they love. But there's one big problem standing in her way. And his name is Noah Yates. He's wrong about her and she can't wait to prove it. Ring those jingle bells because it's on.

Great Grumpy guy and Can-Do girl.

This is a fun book. The first half is all fiery words and grumpy city manager. I loved it alot. Things change in the second half. As the clock ticks down to the end of the job and the possible end of them. The story seems to concentrate more on them (the togetherness) and brief touches on the job.

I LOVE her name!! It just rolls off the tongue so nicely! Catalina King! Just say it over and over. She is the epitome of a strong woman. She actually impresses me with her drive and devotion. Noah must have been a fun character to write. The grumpy guy who says No all the time. It was nice to see him change as the story evolved. Cat though was like his own Christmas miracle.

Overall this is a good story. I did listen on audio. Natalie Duke did a wonderful job with the narration.

Even better than the book!

Lucy Score + Natalie Duke = Dream Team. Listen to this book, then do yourself good by listening to Rock Bottom Girl. Thank me later.

Hallmark with steam!

I loved this book. Although it’s a holiday themed book it would be great any time of the year. It reminded me of a Hallmark movie with some steam! I loved the narration too.

Great voice, fun story

I love the narrator of this story's voice. She adds appropriate inflection, mood and life to an already good story.

Great story with holiday spirit and steamy scenes

At first I was hesitant because the characters seemed too combative for my taste, but it won me over. Well-rounded characters, Christmas fun, a storyline that is fun to care about, and very steamy bedroom scenes. First time reading this author and I think I will read another of hers.

I loved this book

This was the perfect book to get me in the holiday spirit. The premise was wonderful and the characters were so heartfelt it was easy to get swept away in their story.

A reread for me

There isn’t anything I don’t like about this book. I read this a couple of years ago, but I hadn’t reviewed it. This time I listened to the audio version and it was amazing. I would love to live in the town of Merry. Noah is a responsible, nerdy Hero with a secret dirty talking side. One of my favorite types. Cat is a great mix of girly, take charge and get things done. She’s one of my favorite heroines. As an added bonus I got to see Cat’s brother Gannon again. He’s a grumpy guy that I love.

Perfect Christmas read!!

I loved this book! I loved the characters! I loved the town of Merry Connecticut! Noah and Catalina were the perfect “opposite” duo who were meant to spar till they fell in love. This was a smart, witty, grownup, book with fabulous narration by Natalie Duke (who is new to me) and all the Christmas Eve feels you can imagine. I haven’t read many Lucy Score books, but I can’t wait to read more!

Stoic meets fun

Noah is the staid city manager of a town destroyed by a flood. Catalina is the reality tv star that is determined to restore the town. The sparks these two throw up could light up the whole town! Natalie Duke brings these two opposites to life! Great listen!

Beautiful Holiday Story

I really enjoyed this beautiful story and I loved the characters! They should turn this into a holiday special for television. I was hesitant with this book because of the length but it was ok. There was a lot of dialogue and not a lot of descriptions of the rooms and outfits etc... the narration was great. She did a great job with all the different characters. I definitely recommend this book. 🎧Audiobook Obsession 💜Sisters Spotlight

Great fun and Christmas too

This is a follow on from Mr Fixer Upper a brilliant enemies to lovers book.

This starts in a similar vein with Cat butting heads against the city manager Noah but then attraction creeps in, they try to hide it but get swamped by desire.

I love that everyone knows what's happening but Cat and Noah think it's a big secret, so many bits made me laugh.

Beautifully read too.

I wonder if there are more about this team...
