Publisher's summary

Forces are our shield and weapon. Our friend and teacher. A universal language. Understand them and you'll understand the art of cultivation. Master them all and you'll reach the Heavens. Strive for perfection and they'll allow you to change the world.

The Great Tournament had brought out the strongest and most promising cultivators of the younger generation. However, fate, as always, cared not for the affairs of the mortal world and continued on its business. The Indestructible Tower was opened soon after the Tournament, and the pursuit for power turned into a massacre of the Celestial Plateau's elite. But, a small group of six people still managed to escape. Unfortunately, they ended up in a completely new world.

Will they be able to figure out how to return? Will Kai finally get a chance to deal with his past in order to rise even higher? Where will this road lead him, and can he make it to the finish line? For in the merciless and cruel world of cultivation, where you are isn't important. The only thing that matters is power!

Not his best work

Little to no progression in cultivation story was interesting but felt forced some how. Also the fight where a let down which is one of my favorite things about not just this genre but this series in particular

Damn

Damn this is the best book I’ve ever read. Finally I found someone willingly defying the heavens themselves. Although I wouldn’t complaint too much if I found myself in a world where power meant everything. I’d like to think my spirit and soul would be as powerful as Kai’s or even more. I hate with all my being corrupt authority figures. Though I’ve never been able to do anything about it

This was a good book. Once again, had a nice twist at the end. Will probably read the next one

good addition

The story overall was good, felt short with little progress to the MC's growth but considering how the story would progress from this arch it's understandable. Is it worth a listen? Oh yes!

Big Yup! Ignore the Trolls wish I had!

Unfortunately I bought this book a couple days after it came out and then looked at the reviews, and of course ignored the book I bought due to the negative comments. Think I would learn that some people are never happy reading/listening to anything they aren’t spoon fed to understand, just takes a little contemplation
So I listened to the book today and WOW what a pleasant surprise. Great continuation of the story line! If I had to complain about anything is that some of the fight scenes are pretty long but hey this is the type of book I like and I’m sure you will to if you’re reading this review! Starting the next book now!

Elise

Elise acts like and complete piece of garbage and it is totally ignored. Given the story and MC so far, ignoring it is frustratingly unexplainable.

Feel like a book is missing

Like my headline says at the start it feels like an entire book is missing from the ending of the last book. It does give some explanation in the last 1/3 of the book. The book it self was okay. It did give us more information about the main character before his first death and build upon the greater universe and its operating system. overall I say its worth a read if you like the previous books but it feels like beside a few little power ups nothing beside in the system and universe stuff mattered.

this series is like a litRPG of DBZ

All the emo yelling and weakling talk, powering up and "now here's my final form" type stuff. This is very much like DBZ. lots of internal dialog, miraculously getting stronger in fights. The dialog is very anime not much character growth.

Terrible

Normally anything rated above a 4.7 in this genre is a win. Only made it to chapter 15 but the story is uninteresting and not a fan of the world change (earth, ants, and guns...really?). The narrator's emotional yelling makes it unbearable. Returning the book and maybe I'll pick this series back up with book 6. Extremely disappointed...

2 stars because maybe it gets better somewhere after chapter 15. Wouldn't know. Didn't stick around to find out.
