Sophie has done a courageous thing in The Body is a Doorway. She has laid bare her struggle with trauma and health, so that any of us readers can find our own stories. More she has developed and communicated ecological perspectives on embodiment, showing us a way through these maddening times of social and environment collapse through the living prayer of our bodies and their entanglement in an animate world. I gained so much from this book, and yet I find myself more grateful that she has achieved the writing and publication of this book. After reading, don’t be surprised to find yourself rooting Sophie, a young wise elder.
